Few months after the Honeymoon

We were back home. I loved everything here. Everyone. But i loved seeing the world. I loved traveling. Meeting other people. Discovering other countries.

I was working in the shop. Marlene was upstairs taking a shower.

'Hello Mrs. Mckinnon.' Lucius said

'Hey. What are you doing here?' i asked

'The Ministry wanted to know if you changed your mind about working with us.' Lucius said

'You ask me that every year.' i said

'And you say no every year.' he said

'Yet you keep asking.' i said

'Well... They really want you.' he said

'I know. But i already have a job.' i said

'How was your Honeymoon?' he asked

'It was fun. I loved seeing everything and discovering other countries. I loved it.' i said

'Sounds like you had fun.' he said

'We did.' i said
'Are you gonna actually buy something?'

'No. See you later.' he said

'See you.' i said

Few days later

'Hey.' Marlene said

'Hey.' i said

'We need to talk.' she said

'Okay... You're making me worried.' i said

'No. It's not that bad.' she said

She sat down on the couch next to me.

'Okay. I love you and i love this. I love everything here. I love our friends and all of them are here and have children and all that. And i love seeing them and the children... But when we were away it felt different. I loved being it only the two of us alone. Somewhere where no one knows us. Meeting other people. Discovering other countries. I always loved traveling the world. Even if it was only traveling to another city or village. I loved getting to see new things and learn about everything. Like said. Our life is here. Everything is here. But... I don't wanna be only here. I wanna travel the world. Get to experience new things in new places. And i don't just wanna travel sometimes. I wanna travel full time. I wanna see every single country in the world.' she said

I thought I was the only one feeling that way. I mean... Our life is here. Our friends. Our families. But that made us happier than ever. And we do love to travel. It's our passion.

'Can you say something?' she asked

'I love it too. I didn't know how much I loved till after the Honeymoon. I've been thinking about it as well. I just didn't know if to say something and how. And you're right everything and everyone is here. But our friends will get over it. They'll be happy for us. And we can visit them on Christmas and summer break. And I've been thinking about the store. Andi could keep an eye on it and Daphne is a good employee. We could make Andi our manager. She helped a lot with the small cafe. And is working for us anyways. And we trust her. That way we'll still have the shop when we wanna come back home.' i said

'Thank Merlin you feel the same way. And you've been thinking about this. I love every single thing you just said. So we're gonna travel the world?' she asked
