Chapter fifty five

We were back at my house. All of us. Marlene's brothers are only coming over on 24 in two days and staying till 25 and then go back home. The house was all decorated. We just needed to go find the perfect Christmas three and decorate it together.
Mom was better. But still not okay. She was acting happy. But i know she wasn't. I told her she doesn't have to keep it together for me, us. We can handle ourselves. But she said she's fine. I know she's not.

'How is she?' Marlene whispered

'Still acting okay. But she's not.' i said

'She just needs time.' she said

'I know. It's just... Sad seeing her like this.' i said

'Hey. Ready to go?' Lily asked
'Sorry. Didn't mean to interrupt your make out session.'

I rolled my eyes and smiled.

'Let's find a Christmas tree. Shall we?' i asked

'Yeah. Let's.' Lily said

We got in mom's car and Mrs. Potter's car and drove to the tree market.
We got out of the car and looked for a nice tree to take with us.

'To big.' Sirius said

'To small.' James said

'What about this one?' Andi asked

'No. It looks like it's dying.' i said

'Found it.' Marlene shouted

We went towards her and saw the perfect Christmas tree.

'Perfect.' i said
'Mom. We found one.'

We bought the tree and put it in our car and then drove back home.

'I'll cook dinner tonight. No arguments.' Lily said

'I'll help.' Remus said

'Yeah. Me too.' i said
'First let's decorate the tree.' i said

I turned on some music and got the Christmas decorations for the tree from the basement.
We all started taking something from the box and putting it on the tree. Some were messing around. Like Sirius and me. Remus was in the mood for some Christmas songs.

'We should make a snowman after. And play outside with some snow.' Lily said

'Sure.' i said

'We should make a competition. The best snowman wins. Two people in one group.' Sirius said

'Wins what?' James asked

'Just wins. We don't need a price.' Sirius said

'It's a fun idea.' i said

'Yeah. We should do that.' Reg said

After we finished decorating the tree we went outsides and started working on our snowman. I was doing the snowman with Marlene.

'This is fun.' she said

'It is. Okay what should we start with first?' i asked

'Face. We need a nose, eyes and mouth.' she said

We took two rocks for eyes. A carrot for the nose and made the mouth with some sticks. We then gave him a hat and a scarf over his neck and a jacket over his shoulder.

'Pretty usual, isn't it?' Sirius asked

'Shut up. We don't care about the stupid snowman.' i said
