Chapter 8

"Oh come ooonnn JJ it'll be fun!" I drag on trying to convince JJ to come to the kook party with me.

"No I'm not going to some kook bullshit Haven" he shakes his head. "Come on J please I don't wanna go alone" I slightly tug on his arm.

"Haven I said no" "JJ pleaseeee!!" "no" he says in a stern voice.

I sit next to him and place my hand on his cheek.

"JJ please, Rafe said I could bring someone and it would be really fun if you came with me" he looks at me with his eye brows raised and his arms crossed.

"There will be pretty girls there" I add "Haven I said no"

I groan and throw my head back in frustration. I walk over to the kitchen counter and grab my house keys.

"Where are you going Haven?" He asks following me as I walk towards the door.

"Home. I need to get ready" I say and I open the door.

"Wait" he says annoyed I hear the jiggle of keys and I look back at him.

"Let's go" he says unhappily. "Yayyyy!!" I cheer and hug JJ tightly.

He hugs my waist with one arm "yeah yeah, let's go Princess" he says sarcastically.

We get on JJ's bike and I hold onto his waist while we head towards my house.

We get to my house and walk up to my room.

JJ sits on my bed and I go straight to my bathing suit drawer.

"Which one should I wear j? The red one or the black one?" I ask holding up the bikini tops.

"The black one, I like the way you look in it" he says putting his arms behind his head on my head board.

I throw it at his face "Oo thanks for the sovereign" I chuckle as I gather the other things I'm going to wear.

I lay out some light ripped shorts and a oversized black and white flannel.

I go into the bathroom and change.

I go back into my room and straighten my hair really quickly.

"You ready?" He asks "Yea let's go"

We get on JJ's bike and drive to Topper's house.

JJ parks his bike in Top's driveway.

You can hear the music blasting from inside.

"Thank you for doing this J" I say as we walk towards the door "Whatever, you owe me one" he says and I nod as Sarah Cameron opens the door.

"Oh my gosh Haven hi!" She says happily and hugs me,I give her a light hug "Hey Sarah" I give a small smile.

"Oh and you brought JJ" she says kind of confused. JJ gives a small irritated wave. "Um yeah Rafe said I could bring a friend" she nods.

Sarah signals for us to follow her. JJ stuffs his hand in his pocket and walks stiffly.

I grab his hand so he doesn't get lost because there's a shit ton of people in everywhere.

Sarah takes us through the living room where some people are playing beer pong.

"Shit Kelce I know you can do better than that!" I yell at him as we walk past.

"Hi Haven" he says all flirty and I smile "I'm beating your ass later" I yell to him as we continue to walk to wherever Sarah is taking me and JJ.

"We'll see about that Summers!"

I roll my eyes "One thing about almost every Kook I know they can't play beer pong for shit" I tell JJ being as quiet as I can do Sarah won't hear me.
