They say "Love has no frontiers, and so gender becomes mute to its calling" very true.
I can't count the times
I almost said what's on my mind
But I didn'tJust the other day
I wrote down all the things I'd say
But I couldn'tI just couldn't
Baby I know that you've been wondering
Mmm, so here goes nothing
They were good company for each other. The chemistry was beyond your imagination. From the laughs to the kisses, to the sweet silent exchanges, being with each other nurtured every part of them. Both the best parts and the dark parts. They didn't have to hide from each other, because they knew. They always knew
Lena knew how Kara longed to see her family again, her world, she knew she had nightmares about losing her whole world, she knew she was tired sometimes, tired of being everyone's hope, even though it was her honour to be earth's champion, she was drained most of the time. Lena knew Kara had her own demons, her own darkness even though she showed everyone the smiley and happy Kara Danvers. But Lena knew better, she knew her lover better than she knew herself.
Just like Kara knew Lena longed to see her mother, how the guilt of doing nothing when her mother needed her, ate Lena up. She knew how Lena had been betrayed and disappointed, yet she hadn't given up on the world yet, she still saw some good in them even when the world had given up on her. Kara knew about Lena little boxes even when Lena hadn't told her, she always knows when Lena is angry or upset or just simply disappointed because she always showed even though she thought she was doing a good job hiding it. Kara knew better, she knew that Lena still saw some good in Lex because she once loved him.
In case you didn't know
Baby I'm crazy 'bout you
And I would be lying if I said
That I could live this life without you
Even though I don't tell you all the time
You had my heart a long, long time ago
In case you didn't know
So, when Kara had brought it up during their date, Lena hadn't denied it but simply said, "I loved him, I adored him once Kara, he was my brother, he protected me, he even loved me, in his own way" But that was about it, Kara hadn't pushed it, because she knew. She always knew.
After their dinner, they had walked home. It wasn't a long walk, it wasn't short either, they had enjoyed walking home together, in silence and sometimes short conversation.
At some point, Lena stopped and asked, "Kara, what do you love about me?"
Of course, Kara hadn't expected such a question from Lena, but she was more than happy to answer Lena's question. So, she stopped and held the Luthor's hands, "I love everything about you Lena" she said, "everything" she emphasised
"Everything?" the Luthor asked.
The Kryptonian had been in love with the curve of her body, with the curls of her hair and the timbre of her voice. She could have spent an eternity merrily in her embrace. But honestly speaking she loved everything about Lena Kieran Luthor. Everything.
