"Wanna see what you're made of, Greenie?" Gally basically spat out the words as I rolled my eyes. I had been here for less than a day and somehow already got him to hate me. I agreed, of course it was weird for me to be the only girl. But was it really that suspicious, as Gally liked to say? It wasn't my fault they were all stuck here. In fact, I myself was stuck here too, why would anything be my fault then?

"C'mon, Gally, don't give her a hard time." Newt was trying to defend me and I appreciated it, he was really kind. Got easily annoyed when I asked too many questions, but I figured that out pretty quickly and just avoided it.

A lot of the boys I had met until now were actually really friendly. Minho, definitely, was my favourite. His sassiness and his ego were exactly what made him one of the best guys to be around. Always up for jokes and never took anything too serious.

"Thanks, Newt, but I really don't think it's that hard to fight Gally", I laughed and put the cup down that I had only nipped at. The liquid was disgusting, no idea why the boys here drank it. And I knew perfectly well that it was that hard to fight the muscular Builder, but the boy wasn't the only one with an ego around here. I knew that I didn't have long to get the respect I wanted in this place, and Gally already hated me anyway, which made him the perfect victim.

Some of the boys whisteled and cheered at my comment and I laughed again, tilting my head back a bit. One look at the fuming builder was enough to make me stop though - I knew what I had started with that sentence before I had said it, but I also knew that he wouldn't go easy on me. Sadly though - for him - I had also already found out that I was quite fit. Maybe, with a bit luck, I would be able to overtake Gally, and that little possibility was enough for me to try.

"Shebean has nerve, that's for sure", I heard someone I hadn't met until now commenting. I smirked, making my way to the Fighting Circle just a few metres away. "Try not to cry when you lose, alright?" I winked at the boy in the middle of it while tying my hair into a tight ponytail with the hairtie I wrapped around my wrist when I woke up in the box. If there was still someone not watching what was going on, they were now.

Gally was ready to murder me, everyone could see it. But I wasn't giving up. Maybe it was the adrenaline still rushing through my veins, my ego, or just pure stupidity. Whatever it was, I wasn't going to stop it. If this was the only way to be respected around here, I would take every necessary risk. "You sure that's a good idea, Greenie?", I heard Newt ask from the circle of boys around me and the Builder in a worried tone. I rolled my eyes once again this evening, though not taking them off Gally.

"Let her do it, it'll be fun to watch. Maybe she can actually win, who knows." The voice distracted me, but I didn't shift my focus. I didn't know whether to take Zart's words as a compliment or to be offended by them. Enough, I scolded myself. That only lead to overthinking. Right now, I needed to let my impulse take over.

Another boy snickered when Newt let out a defeated sigh. "She's never gonna win this." Finally I took my eyes off of Gally, who was clenching fists and jaw, to get a better look at who said that. I smirked when I made out the contours of Clint, the Med-jack. "Watch me do it then, Clint."

I nearly missed Gally's first move. His fist soared through the air as he shoved his whole body forward with a strength even I had not expected. I could only duck away last second, but he was already aiming a second time - this one not missing its goal. My body was thrown back, before I could even react I was stumbling to the ground, the Builder nothing but a few inches away from me. "You need help Greenie?", Minho laughed from the circle of boys.

It was now or never. I rolled to the side in an impulse, just quick enough to escape another hit - that would've hurt. "I can handle myself very well, thanks", I spat in his direction without actually looking at him. In less than a second Gally had turned around to where I was now struggling to get up, his brows furrowed, his whole body tensed. I smiled when I finally realised what I had to do to get him out of the circle.

Gally was strong, way stronger than me. There was no chance I could push him out of the circle myself. If he got on top of me, I would loose. I simply didn't have the strength to turn us back around, my flexibility wouldn't help in any way.

The small smile on my face seemed to distract Gally for a second, and that was all I needed. Again, I ducked, this time under his raised arm, which confused him even further. I used the second I was behind him unnoticed to give him a little nudge. Of course it wouldn't get him out of the circle, no way I was strong enough to do that, but it got him close enough to the edge. Accompanied by a few whistles and some grunts from the boys around I straightened up, allowing Gally to turn around and face me, now fuming with anger on a whole other level.

"I'm not out, Greenie, you haven't won yet", he commented as he saw the mischievous smirk on my face. "And I'm not out either. I haven't lost yet", I noted, looking at him with pursed lips. It was so easy to anger him it was almost ridiculous.

I watched as pure rage took over when some of the boys snickered at my comment. That was it. I would win. Gally couldn't control himself. He ran, sprinted, tried to tackle me down, out of the circle - but that was exactly what I had wanted. In the last possible second I threw my body to the right, something Gally hadn't expected (the force with which I had done that was definitely unexpected for myself as well - I landed in the dirt, a second time this evening). I stumbled up to see a defeated Gally getting up too, outside of the Fighting Circle. A few seconds nothing happened. We just looked at each other, my lips curled into a mocking smile. I could see that he was debating his next move, but the others didn't even give him the time to do anything.

"Did she just-", Clint gaped and I turned around to face him, a hand on my hips. "Told you so!", Zart blurted out. I laughed, this time actually, honestly. "She did! She won! Against Gally!" Boys started congratulating me, patting me on the back, some even hugging me.

I was convinced this was the best first impression I could've made.
