It was dark, but there was a small light coming towards you. It was white, with blue and purple tinges, the odd bit of yellow and orange mixed in as well. Like a sunrise in the middle of July.

You held up your hand to block the light, squinting hard to see if you could locate it source when a warm, gentle hand placed itself on yours. As your hand was lowered, a sense of calming relief flowed through your veins, and you looked up to see a middle aged to elderly woman, probably around her late fifties, standing before you.

She had pale skin and dark black hair with the brightest, mystical golden eyes you'd ever seen. They were wide, and held a sense of confidence and security to them. The woman appeared to be slightly taller then you, maybe around five foot ten or so. She grabbed onto both of your hands with her own, gently pulling you off the ground like you were weightless.

She gave you a warm smile, her thumbs caressing the back of your hands before she looked off in the distance.

"Come with me, Y/n," she spoke in a smooth tone that almost seemed to ring throughout your mind like a gentle echo.

"How do you know my name?" you asked, following the woman through the darkness as your bare feet padded along her trail. This was when you took note of your appearance. Your ankle and arm were bandaged, yet you felt no pain. You wore a light blue hospital gown, and your hair was swept messily back over your shoulders. You looked sort of...sickly.

"I'll explain everything soon. Just walk with me," she responded, gliding over the darkened landscape as her glowing figure appeared to lighten the path before you.

It was like you were surrounded by a thousand stars, each one glowing brightly with different vibrant colours as they hovered off in the distance. The darkness you trekked through seemed to be outlined by an almost invisible path, as though wherever you stepped, you'd be able to hover.

"Where are we?" you questioned again, leaping from patch to patch like a child does so across a riverbed.

"In your consciousness. It's peaceful, don't you think so?"

You paused and looked up at the woman for a moment before answering.

"If we're in my consciousness, how are you here?" you asked, raising an eyebrow and pointing your finger at her.

"Because I am apart of you. Just not in the way you think," she answered, continuing to walk forwards, leaving you in confusion.

You sprinted around the woman, holding your arms out as though to stop her but, she simply walked through your body like a telegram. It was almost as if the two of you were glitching as she passed through you.

"Huh?"

You turned and followed after the woman once more, seeing another bright light appear before you. It was sort of sphere shaped, with rough edges. It wasn't glowing, nor did it really have any colour. It was as if the air before you was being warped into a messy circle, looking like heat rising off a dark road on a hot summer day, or the blurry static of an old TV.

"What is this?" you questioned, stopping next to the woman and gazing up at the strange matter before you.

"This will give you the answers you are looking for. Go ahead, place your hand inside the sphere."
