You walk down the hauls with Dazai.
He holds your hand.
He happily prances.
You feel bitterly happy as you walk down the hauls of the Port Mafia.

"I'm really leaving huh...?" you say aloud.
Dazai looks back at you.
"Yup! We still gotta pack your bags at home or else they'll go after you. You're living with me now!" Dazai says with a wink.
"Haha alright." You say smiling.

You guys get to the some shady back door.
"Alright. This will be the last you're here, ready..?" Dazai asks, he gentle lets go of your hand.
You look down. You take a breath.

"Haven't we've already gone this? I'm ready." You say with a strong voice.
He smirks.
You guys leave the Port Mafia together.

Chuuya watched from afar, once you left his view. He turned around and walked back.

"You ready for your first day at work?" Dazai asks.
You put on a new outfit, one similar to Dazai's.

It had more brighter colors and was way different than your Port Mafia outfit.
"I guess so." You say with a shrug.
He smiles.
"Great! Than let's go." Dazai says, as he takes your hand.

...

"We're here." Dazai says, you hold onto his arm tight.
"Dazai what if they don't except me...
What if they don't think I'm fit here?" You ask nervously.

"Y/n! It'll be fine! Don't worry! And if they don't, I'll just handle this with some good old classic Port Mafia torture! Or should I say my classic torture style..?" Dazai says with wink.

You feel a lump in your throat as you remember how no ever escape his torture methods...
Somehow even though he said it in a joking manner you know he's definitely not joking.
He unlocks the door.

"I'm here with my cute little girlfriend!" Dazai announces and happily walks in with you.
Everyone looks.
Crap there's more people than last time...

"Oh welcome back y/n." Kunikida says.
You smile.
"By the way... she'll also be working here with us as well!!" Dazai adds.

Everyone's eyes widen.
"You'll be staying here y/n!?" Atsushi shoots up from his desk smiling.
"Atsushi!? You're okay?!" You're just as shock to see him.
"Yeah! Dr. Yosano healed me! I'm alright now!" Atsushi says, smiling.
"I'm glad." You say in relief.
Atsushi blushes.

Dazai now glares down at Atsushi.
"Atsushi you having a fever or something? You should get checked out." Dazai says in firm tone.
Is Dazai getting possessive..? Cute.
You laugh to yourself.

"Ahhh it's nothing!!" Atsushi says as he turns around.
Everyone else is still just watching.
"Does the president know?" A young redhead boy asks.
"Yup! You guys better make her comfortable!" Dazai says, as he now stands behind you and places his hands on your shoulders.

"Oh okay then. Welcome! I'm Junichiro Tanizaki." He says with a small wave.
"I'm y/n, y/n y/ln." You reply.
"Wow! You're so cute! I'm Naomi Tanizaki! I'm his little sister!" A young high school girl pops out of no where and starts hugging her brother.
You nod and smile.
I'm not used to having such friendly introductions with people...

You feel so out of place with all these friendly people.
Everyone starts introducing themselves.
You smile at every person's introduction.
Everyone's so happy and lively.
You feel so comforted here already.

The entire time Dazai kept note of your emotions in case you got overwhelmed.
Everyone finishes introduces themselves.
Except for this one man sitting in the back.

He had a opened chip bag and was looking for any remaining survivors.
"Uh Ranpo? We have someone new here." Dr. Yosano says.

"Huh? What? Oh hi there. I'm Ranpo Edogawa. The greatest detective! Don't forgot it!" He says proudly.
Wow he's something...
He immediately went back to looking for chips.

Dazai clenches your shoulders.
You look up.
"Watch out for him. He knows about us more then we know about ourselves." Dazai warns.
You nod.

As you look at Ranpo, you can't tell if Dazai was joking.
How could this young boy know so much..?
You shake your head in disbelief.

....

The day ends faster than expected.
You got somewhat settled into this new job.
Dazai, Atsushi and you all walk home together.

"Has y/n already taken her entrance exam?" Atsushi asks.
Entrance exam?! I'm not in school anymore!! Even when I was in school, I was so bad...!! oh no, well goodbye cruel world...

"No she hasn't." Dazai answers.
"Is it like math test or something? I'm bad at those." You admit.

Dazai laughs.
"Haha no, it's like test of your mentality." Dazai explains.
"Yeah mine was awful..." Atsushi whines.
"We can't say anymore, but you are sure to pass y/n!" Dazai says with a gentle head pat.
"I see..." you say.

"We got a pretty rough job tomorrow right..?" Atsushi asks Dazai.
"Yeah but it'll be the three of us I'm sure we'll do just fine!" Dazai says.
He places his arm around both you and Atsushi.
"We'll do fine!" Dazai assures.
You smile and watch the sunset.

CHUUYA

"Well? Where's y/n?" Akutagawa asks,
"She's gone." I answer.
I cant say anymore, Akutagawa will go after her.

"What do you mean she's gone?! Answer me!!" Akutagawa demands.
My head is still filled with thoughts.
I can't believe she really left with Dazai...

She's insane.

"Look she's fine, alright?" I say in a snappy tone.
"Tell me where she is!" Akutagawa still demands.
"I... I don't know... but I can guarantee she's safe.... I wouldn't have let her go if she wasn't..." I say, I look away from Akutagawa cold eyes.

"Let her go?! I..! This is all pointless... Asking you was a waste of time but I get what you mean." Akutagawa says in an annoyed tone. He turns and walks out of my office.

The door slams shut.
I slam my head on the table.
"CRAP" I scream.
I should've said more.
I should've told her to stay.
I shouldn't have her let go...
But why..?
What good would it do keeping her here?
I knew she didn't like it here.
She's probably happy now.
Happy with him...
"DAMNIT"

I'm sorry this chapter is really short, it's sorta a turning point for this book.
I'm debating on whether or not I should end this soon or keep it going. I guess time will only tell!
