Amelia's POV- Thanksgiving 2020
"You are overthinking this" I noted as I pulled my hair up and turned around.

Andy had barged in while I was getting ready for tonight's dinner. Since she was here, I may as well make use of her.

"Zip me?" I asked.

Andy zipped up my dress and sighed,

"I forgot to ask my own son if he was okay with me getting married. This affects him too. How selfish am I?"

I looked at myself in the mirror and smoothened the dress I was wearing.

"He's avoiding me"

"He is not" Both James and I said at the same time.

I glanced at my bed to see her phone, where James was on the line. He was making himself dinner; a medium-well steak, and oven-baked veggies, and potato wedges.

"Well then, where is he?"

"With the kittens" I replied.

To which James asked,

"Kittens?"

"The strays I've been feeding," I told him.

"You've been feeding strays?"

"Three kittens" I answered.

"I didn't know that"

I looked at Andrea who grimaced,

"I'll send you a picture," I said.

The orange tabby had taken a liking to Drew.

"I'll talk with Drew" I offered.

We both turned to the door as it opened to reveal Gavin in just a towel.

"Um"

His cheeks flushed before slowly greeting her,

"Hey, Andrea"

After a couple of seconds of just staring at him, she turned to me.

"I'm going to finish getting ready"

I nodded and watched her retrieve her phone.

"I will talk to him in a bit," I told her.

She nodded and turned to look at Gavin.

"How do you get the towel to stay?"

"Andrea" I scolded.

Gavin...looked mortified.

"Go" I shooed.

She cocked her head to the side as she looked at his tattooed back.

"Well aren't you full of surprises"

The flush was even appearing on his neck, that's how embarrassed he was.

"Andrea" I repeated.

"Fine, fine. I'm going--"

Once she was gone, Gavin made sure the door was locked. He turned to me and frowned as I proceeded to cackle at his own misery.

"I'm sorry, love. It's just, they have all asked that question" I replied.

He smirked,

"You have asked the same question"

It's true, I had even tugged on the towel to see how he had wrapped it around his waist.

"It's just, it hangs so secure on your hips" I commented.

He unwrapped the towel from his waist and looked at me. I shook my head and tossed his boxers at him as he wiggled his hips.
