Amelia's POV- Christmas Eve 2020
I zipped up my jacket before stepping out to the porch.

"There you are," I said.

Andy glanced away from Drew who was running through some drills on his own.

"Gavin working out?"

He was taking full advantage of the pilates rower in the basement.

"No, he's showering" I answered.

I offered her a mug of hot chocolate.

"Thank you"

I took a seat next to her.

"How long does he usually take?"

"A half-hour most" I replied.

She nodded and shifted to look at me.

"So have you two talked about living arrangements?"

We had not.

"You haven't left each other's side since September"

Correct.

"Do you plan on moving in with him? You two seem pretty serious about each other"

"Neither of us has brought it up" I responded.

"You technically have a place to stay"

I pursed my lips,

"Gavin doesn't know about the condo" I disclosed before taking a small sip of my hot chocolate.

She raised an eyebrow,

"Why the hell not?"

I shrugged,

"It's never been brought up because as of the beginning of the month, a family was living there" I answered.

"Well bring it up to him"

I abruptly bought a condo like 4 years ago.

"How are living arrangements going?" I wondered.

"The only reason I bring up the condo is that James and I found one close by to your place"

"Define close?" I asked.

"Across the street"

I hummed,

"Interesting" I noted before taking a sip of my hot chocolate.

"So talk to him"

I sighed and nodded,

"I'll bring it up," I told her.

I craned my neck to see James pacing in his and Andrea's office.

"It's Christmas Eve" I noted.

She nodded and mumbled,

"It looks like there is new evidence against his client"

I hummed,

"That explains the...expressive words" I stated.

I had made him a cup of hot chocolate and delivered it to the office without saying a word to him.

"It's a murder trial"

"And you think his client did it?" I wondered quietly.

"Oh she did it, his team is arguing that it was self-defense"

She leaned closer to me before whispering.

"I've seen some pictures, the ones that were released to the public, and let me tell you...he deserved it. It was either her or him. The man was loved by the community, but he was toxic and manipulative. James was one of the few that was willing to take the case"
