Ch. 20 "Pepper"

                                            Cody POV 

After Peter left I hobbled down the hall, when I heard Tony's voice, 

"Cody wait a minute," He said now walking next to me, 

I arched my brow, 

"I want to show you where your going to be staying," He said 

"Oh I get room and board here?" I said smirking 

"Why is everything a sarcastic remark with you," He asked 

"Hey I'm 112 pounds and I'm injured sarcasm is my only defense right now," I said looking at him, 

"Fair enough, just follow me besides I want you to meet someone," He said 

"If you say so lead the way," I said as I crutched 

We get into the elevator and I let out a breath you see I have a teeny tiny okay scratch that a major fear of heights, 

Yeah sure Mine and Peter's meeting spot was on top of a roof but it wasn't that high, but as we went up I knew we were pretty far off the ground, but as long as I don't see it I'll be fine, 

We finally got to the floor, 

Of course it was all the way at the top, 

We exit the elevator, 

"Whoa," I said 

"Pretty nice huh kid," Tony said 

"I'd say and stop calling me kid," I said 

"Sorry just a habit," He said 

Then a woman with strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes walked towards us, 

"Tony I thought we-" She began and seen me, 

"Pepper this is Cody, Cody Pepper," Tony said 

"Oh how nice to meet you," She said smiling at me, 

"Like wise," I said shaking her hand, 

"I've heard so much about you," She said smiling at me, 

"Really?" I asked 

"Yeah, Tony doesn't seem to stop talking about you," She said 

I looked at Tony he turned his head away clearly embarrassed, 

I chuckled, 

"Umm, Right so follow me," Tony said 

"See you around Cody," She said 

"You too," I said and followed after Tony, 

He opened the door, and to say I was shocked was an understatement, 

"This is where you'll be staying," He said 

I looked around in fascination, 

"You sure this is the right room?" I asked 

"Yeah, why?" He asked confused 

"This is bigger than my house," I said chuckling 

"Yeah well you won't be going back there anytime soon so this is your new home," Tony said 

I looked at him arching my brow, 

"We'll talk about all of that later, so I'm making dinner tonight I want you me and Pepper to have dinner, so we can get to know you better," Tony said 

I hobbled around as I looked at everything, 

"Well since your harboring me, it's the least I can do," I said in a dull tone, 

Tony chuckled 

"Good to hear I'll let you get settled," He said he closed the door, 

"Thank you.." I whispered
