A man came out of the house. He had golden hair with tight curls on top of his hair. He had soft kind looking blue eyes. He looked exactly like Alyson thought he would.

His eyes glimmered with excitement and hope that Alyson couldn't help but mimck. He practically leapt from the front porch steps. A wide toothy smile on his face. A woman with brown wavy hair leaned against the railing with a smile on her face.

"You just gonna sit here all day or you gonna get out and say hello to your long-lost father?" Violet said rolling her eyes at Alyson's hesitation.

"But-" Violet cut her off, her lavender eyes slanted making it hard for Alyson to say anything more.

Alyson grabbed the door handle with a wobble in her hands. She opened the door slowly her heart beating a mile a minute. She stepped out of the car her legs made of jelly.

Her dad's eyes scanned over her never losing their excitement.

"Alyson," he said with a wide smile offering her a hug.

"Dad," Alyson said without hesitation launching herself into his arms. He held her tightly as if she would disappear if he ever let go, she held him with equal vigour.

"You know how long I've been waiting to hear you call me that," he said tears clear in his voice. Alyson laughed slightly and nodded in the embrace.

"I've been waiting what seems like forever to see you again!" Alyson said unable to keep the tears out of her eyes. He said nothing more as he held her close. The two stood there for what felt like a few seconds but it was probably much more.

Alyson heard someone clear their throat, "You just gonna stand there all day or you going to introduce me too?" The women voice sounded as if she had a wide smile on her face.

"Right, sorry," Alyson's dad said pulling away from the hug but still holding Alyson close.

"Alyson, this is the love of my life and mate Melissa," Alyson's dad say doing a sweeping gesture towards Melissa. Melissa was beautiful she has mousy brown curly hair and rich brown eyes. She had very Mexican looking features, very soft and feminine.

"I'm so excited to meet you, Melissa!" Alyson said detaching herself from her dad so she could hug Melissa.

"You're just as beautiful as Mathew always says. If not more so. I love your hair!" Melissa said her air was very kind and motherly. Alyson gave the other women a wide smile.

"Thank you! Dad didn't do you any justice from his letters," Alyson said looking at the other women.

"You read the letters?" Her dad said excitedly his face wide with a smile.

"Yeah! My stepdad gave them to me when I figured out I couldn't be his daughter. Mother was insistent that he didn't. I think he hid them from her all these years. I've read them all! In fact.." Alyson said trailing off and opening the back of her car and pulling out the box with the letters she wrote back.

"I wrote you a letter back for each letter you wrote me! I figured it'd be the best way to answer all the questioned you asked me in them," Alyson blushing slightly. Her dad looked stupefied. His eyes were wide and glossy.

Alyson offered the small box to him. He took it without hesitation and gave Alyson a wide smile.

"Thank you," he said his voice soft almost as if it was going to break.

"I tried to answer as many questions as I could," Alyson said meekly. She was slightly embarrassed, to say the least. Alyson looked away from her father and saw Violet, Noah and what she assumed to be Nickolaus, the fourth Were from the road seemed to have disappeared.
