Alyson awoke the next day to the sound of Kai whining loudly next to her. She groaned and lifted her head from the cosy warmth Hayden was providing her. She checked the clock 6 in the morning. She let out a soft groan at being woken up so early but none the less got out of bed and put on some warmer clothes to go stomp around in the snow.

Kai barely able to sit still was pacing to and fro. His whines ever-present.

"I know, sweet boy. I know. But unlike you, I don't have a nice warm body of fur. So I need more warm clothes," Alyson said. Kai huffed at her but stopped whining.

Alyson finally got her warm clothes on and opened the door. Kai bolted from the room. Alyson laughed lightly at him.

"Don't run in the house boy! Especially now!" Alyson called after the pup. She heard his steps slow down in response.

"Good boy," Alyson said as she followed him. The two went outside and Kai seemed a bit better than the first time but was still clearly very anxious. Alyson leads him around making sure he could hear her footsteps and keep her sent.

He relieved himself and then sprinted back towards the house. As he ran he shook off the fresh snow as it rained down on him. Alyson giggled at him and how the once grey wolf now looked like a white wolf.

"Looks like that fur isn't doing you as well, huh? Should I invest in a doggy jacket?" Alyson asks. Kai barks his tone disapproving

"Sorry, a little wolf Jacket," Alyson corrected herself. At that Kai gave a shake flinging snow all over Alyson.

"You little brat," Alyson said giggling as she wiped the snow off her and kicked the snow from her boots leaving them by the door as she entered the house. After that Alyson then decided it was time for a nice warm shower, now that she was covered in melting snow.

She opened her bedroom door and found Hayden still sleeping soundly. Kai ran in and was about to jump on the bed before Alyson gave him a warning look.

"Come into the bathroom and let me dry you off before you get the bed wet," Alyson whispered to Kai. He huffed but followed her into the bathroom. Where Alyson towel-dried him enough that he wouldn't make the bed wet.

"Alright, go on back to bed now," Alyson said her voice soft and affectionate. Kai shook puffing out his fur and hurried to the bed curling up and instantly falling asleep.  Alyson then took a relaxing warm shower it felt like ages since she had a nice shower. She's been spending most of her time in the woods getting all dirty.

As she showered she let the hot water run down her face and relax any stiff muscles. Messaging her stiff shoulder and releasing some of the tension. The smell of mint and cucumber filled the bathroom. Alyson felt her self start to relax.

She shampooed her hair making sure to only get her roots to prevent her hair from losing the good oils in her hair. She rinsed it out and as she started to rinse out her conditioner the smell of mint and cucumber started to shift. The rancid smell of iron and decay filled the room. Alyson blinked in confusion.

She popped her head from behind the shower curtain looking for the lingering smell. Her eyes and hears straining to find where it was coming from. Slightly confused from not finding the scent she returned to her shower, thinking it just must be her mind playing tricks on her. because now the smell was gone and again was the smell of mint and cucumbers.

Shaking herself Alyson raised out the conditioner as her hand ran threw her hair the conditioner didn't seem to be running out. It's thick slippery feeling not leaving her hair. Confused Alyson wrung out her hair and looked at her hands.
