Bruce's POV

I walk to Cobblepot Park. I see how messy it looks. It looks like a wreak.

Bruce: Where are you Oz?

I walk in the park. I see a homeless guy. I give him some cents and then walk in. I get a text message.

Oz: Running Late. Meet you by the statue.

Bruce: Great.

I look around.

Bruce: There's the statue, but... no Oz.

I walk to the statue. I look at it. Then I hear someone walking behind me.

???: Watch. Wallet. Cash.

I look behind me to see a man with a knife.

Man: Or this goes through you.

Another man walks up to the side of me.

Bruce: Go ahead. Try and take it.

Man: The hell'd you say?!

Man 2: End him.

The man slowly walks towards me. Then I see Oz.

Oswald: Gentlemen!

Bruce: Oz?

Man: Keep walking, alright?

Man 2: This don't concern you, twerp!

Oswald: You see... that's where you're mistaken. My old mate and I have some catching up to do...

The man with the knife tries to stab Oz. But he dodged and punched the man in the face.

Oswald: And you're ruining the moment! C'mere!

He hits the man with a inside kick.

Oswald: Think that'll do?

The second man also had a knife. He runs to me and attempts to stab me with it. I block it and punch him in the stomach. Oz knees the other man in the gut and slams his head on the bench.

Oswald: Stay down!

The other man got a gun out. Oz went behind him and elbowed him on the back of his neck. Sending him towards me. I disarm him and punch him. I take apart the gun.

Oswald: This used to be a nice place.

He kicks the man down.

Oswald: Low lives like you don't belong!

The other man gets up and charges at me, I move out the way. Making him hit the statue. Then Oz grabs the man and slams his face on the statue. Both men got up and ran away.

Oswald: This is MY park. Mine! You hear that?

He looks at me.

Oswald: Ha, oh hey Bruce, you've got a little...

He licks his thumb and wipes some blood off my face.

Oswald: There. Good as new! Woo! That was a right little scrap, eh?

Bruce: Hey, I could have handled that myself.

Oswald: You mean a knife handle in the back? Cause that's what would've happened, mate. No offense.

Bruce: Yeah, right.

Oswald: It's been what... two decades?

Bruce: And you know what, I haven't been mugged once that entire time.

Oz laughs.

Oswald: That wasn't why I brought you here, mate. Right now, I'm trying to recognize the little Bruce I used to run around this place with. Back when it wasn't, y'know.... like this. This park... it used to mean something. A place that was safe for kids, for families...

Bruce: Those were better days.

Oz gets a drink out.

Oswald: This city... chews right through people.

He sits down on the bench.

Oswald: Mum. Committed to Arkham. Dad. Ended it himself, he did. My family's fortune... there's nothing left, Bruce.

Bruce: I know, Alfred told me.

Oswald: S'funny, huh? Same place that ground my family to dust... Gave you the good life.

Bruce: I'm sorry, Oz. No one should have to go through that.

Oswald: Thanks, Bruce. But we're not the only ones suffering.

He stands up.

Oswald: Good to know you haven't changed, Bruce. But I was surprised to see Falcone at your party last night.

Bruce: Falcone was an uninvited guest, that's it. I never want to see his face again.

Oswald: On that, we can agree in earnest. Falcone's made a stack of cash and corpses a mile high ruining families like mine. All he needs is a little push and... It'll be a treat to watch him make pavement.

I stay silent.

Oswald: Sorry, mate. This reunion got a lot more grim then I planned! Things are gonna be on the upswing soon though. A revolution is knocking on Gotham's door... and I'm here to let it in. Which brings me to you, Bruce. You see, you throw a rock in any direction, you break a window that Wayne Enterprises owns. As the rich and powerful go, you top Gotham's list. But when my revolution starts, we're going to smash windows and cross off names all the way down.

Bruce: That's a battle you won't win, Oz.

Oswald: No? I've learned a thing or three since we were kids. I have got great affection for you, Bruce, I really do. Which is why I'm warning you...

He puts his hand on my shoulder.

Oswald: When this whole thing starts... make sure you're on the right side.

He starts walking away.

Oswald: Good seeing you, Bruce, but I've got some rocks to collect. Cheers.

He leaves the park. I get a text.

Alfred: Press conference for new hospital starts soon. Car waiting on south side of park. I'll be taking Y/N to college.

I then leave the park and walk to my car.
