Chapter 13: Her

Robin's POV

I am currently watching over Gotham. It felt weird, because it's my first time doing it alone. Bruce stormed out of the cave and went somewhere. Alfred told me he is looking for him. As I'm resting on a rooftop. I hear screaming.

???: HELP!!! SOMEBODY HELP!!!!

I know that voice. That was Barbara! I jump rooftop to rooftop to find her. I then see her in a alley, a man with a gun was getting closer to her.

Barbara: PLEASE!!!!! NO!!!!!!!

I start to see nothing but red, I feel the adrenaline flow through me. I quickly glide my way down and land on the ground. The man heard it and quickly turned around and aimed his gun at me. I quickly get out my staff and hit his hand, making him drop his gun. I then grab him and knee him in the gut. I punched him repeatedly in the face while he was on the ground until he was unconscious. I start to calm down, I see the man's face all bloody and bruised. I look at Barbara.

Barbara: A-Are you.... Robin?

I nod.

Barbara: Wow..... I can't believe it.... Where's Batman?

Robin: I decided to be out here alone.

I say that in a different voice. So Barbara wouldn't recognize my voice.

Barbara: Oh. Well.... this is crazy. Y/N will be jealous.

She giggles a little when she says that. I smile.

Robin: Y/N?

Barbara: Oh, he's a friend of mine. But we only talked one time. He's Bruce Wayne's kid.

Robin: Oh! He sounds like a cool guy.

Barbara: He is.

She says that with a smile and a blush. Which makes my face feel hot.

Barbara: I would like to know more about him.

Robin: Well.... I'm pretty sure he would like to know you more as well.

I say with a smile.

Barbara: My name is Barbara, by the way.

Robin: Nice to meet you Barbara. Oh! And don't worry about that guy over there, I'll have some cops come get him.

Barbara: Okay, thank you once again.

I nod and smile. I grapple away. I can't help but feel excited. And a little glad that Barbara was there. She said she wants to know me better. I would like to know her as well. I then get a call.... from Bruce? I quickly pick up.

Robin: Bruce? Are you feeling okay?

Bruce: I'm fine, Y/N. I went to Crime Alley. Alfred found me.

Robin: That's nice to know.

Bruce: Apparently, Falcone knows why my parents were killed.

Robin: Really?

Bruce: Yeah, I'll have a chat with him tomorrow. You should get home.

Robin: I will.

I hang up. I then head back to Wayne Manor.
