Robin's POV

Me and Batman arrived at the Vale's house. We walk inside to see no one. Batman activates the comms to talk to Alfred.

Batman: We're inside the Vale house.

We walk into the living room. We see a dead body. We assume it's the mother of Vicki. There is a lot of blood, and her eyes are stabbed out.

Robin: Oh my god!

I suppress the urge to vomit.

Batman: Alfred, The Vale's are dead. One body confirmed, but there is a LOT of blood. Alert Gordon.

Alfred: Will do.

Batman: I don't know how this is connected to the drugs yet. Whatever they knew about it. Vicki made sure they kept quiet.

I open a desk drawer we see paperwork.

Robin: It's a letter from Gotham Social Services. About a monthly stipend for foster parents.

Alfred: Vicki's a bit old for that, isn't she?

I look at a family photo.

Robin: It's not for Vicki. They have a boy.

Batman walks over and sees another picture.

Batman: This most be Vicki shortly after she was adopted.

Robin: She looks unhappy.

Batman: Wonder why?

Robin: No clue.

We walk over back to the body. I look at the couch.

Robin: Syringe.

Batman picks it up.

Robin: Seems she haven't given up her old tricks.

Batman scans it.

Alfred: Is this the same drug?

Batman: Yes, but this is several times stronger then the dosage I received.

Alfred: Maybe she's escalating?

Robin: This seems personal.

We look back at the body.

Batman: Her eyes are gone. Stabbed out.

Alfred: That's disturbing.

Robin: Yeah... the most disgusting thing I seen.

We look at her neck.

Batman: There's an injection wound in her neck. Same kind Montoya and I both received, but this one's much worse.

We look at another family photo.

Alfred: Recent family photo?

Robin: Vicki's not in it.

Batman: It shows the Vales with another child in front of an industrial office. There's a logo on the building.

We walk in the kitchen. We see lots of blood on the walls.

Robin: Large amounts of blood spatter across the walls.

Batman: It's not steady like arterial spray. Someone was swinging wildly. Wait. There's a slight indentation where something bloody struck the wall with force.

I see what he's talking about. There was a tear on the wall. Batman scans it.

Alfred: Something thrown?

Batman: Nothing I can see.

I see hair on the ground.

Robin: I found a lock of hair.
