Chapter 23

After going to the grocery store, the soulmates went back to Niki’s house first to drop the food and items that they had bought from the grocery and took the bus for the ride to the hospital.

It was already dark when they arrived at the Belift Enhospital.

“Come on?” Sunoo asked and held Niki’s cold hands. Sunoo just giggled as he felt the temperature of Niki’s hand.

“Hey, don’t be too nervous, okay? Trust me, everything will be fine” Sunoo said which made Niki smile and squeezed Sunoo’s hand gently.

They first went to the lobby and asked the personnel in the front desk.

“Excuse me, can I ask where the room of a patient named Taki is?” Sunoo asked politely to the personnel so the said personnel then look at the listed names of the patients and find for it.

“He’s in room 30 on the second floor, sir” the girl said.

“Okay, thank you, ma’am” Sunoo and Niki said to the woman and bowed their heads as a sign of respect before starting to walk.

Upon knocking at the door of room 30, someone said “Come in” from the room so Sunoo and Niki immediately opened the door to go inside.

And there’s Taki, lying on his bed.

Sunoo then widened his eyes as soon as he saw the younger while covering his mouth using one of his hands. He then ran to Taki and hop on his side.

“Oh my gosh, you’re so cute!” Sunoo exclaimed which made Taki laugh at him.

“Uhmm.. can I pinch your cheeks?” Sunoo requested while clasping his hand in front of his chest with his eyes sparkling into puppy eyes.

“Why?” Taki asked while furrowing his eyebrows so Sunoo immediately reached his hands to Taki’s cheeks and pinch those while giggling as if his life depended on it.

“Whoa~ You’re so cute, Taki!” Sunoo said while pinching Taki’s cheeks while Taki is just looking at him cluelessly.

“Wait, calm down, I don’t even know who you are and why are you here” Taki said and with that, Sunoo stopped from what he is doing and reached his hand in front of Taki to have a handshake,

“Hi, I am Kim Sunoo and I go to the same school with Niki” Sunoo said and with that, Taki’s smile faded.

“Oh my goodness, you really are adorable” Sunoo said to Taki before turning his head to the back “Niki-ah, why would you bully such an innocent elementary student, huh?” Sunoo asked Niki with a pout.

“Hey, I am not an elementary!” Taki said and also pouted while crossing his arms. Sunoo just laughed at him. Sunoo already knew that Taki is just the same age as Niki but he just told that to tease the younger. Why can’t he? He’s just too cute!

Taki then averted his eyes to where Niki is standing. He didn't even notice that all this time, Niki was standing there, watching the two without even him noticing because he was too distracted by Sunoo.

Sunoo, on the other hand, held Taki’s hand before speaking.

“Taki, someone came here to talk to you” Sunoo softly said before squeezing Taki’s hand and slowly let go of it to go to Niki’s side.

“Sunoo, I’m nervous” Niki whispered to him so Sunoo just hit his arm softly before letting out a giggle.

“I told you, everything will be fine, Niki” Sunoo just said before softly pushing Niki to go beside Taki’s bed.
