Bella

Is it bad that I still get butterflies? That's just how I've always reacted to Stiles. Maybe this jelly feeling in my stomach is muscle memory. Even when I have no feelings whatsoever, my stomach will melt when I see his face because that's what it's always done. But it doesn't mean anything. Just the body doing it's thing.

"Uh," I stutter "What are you guys doing?"

Scott starts to giggle and Stiles does something between a face palm and running his hands through his hair. Totally not attractive. At all.

"Oh," Stiles says, dripping with sarcasm "You're brother has made the brilliant decision to get a tattoo."

"A tattoo?!" I question, raising an eyebrow. I didn't realize he was feeling this bold, as of late.

"Woah. Calm down" Scott interjects

"Isn't that like.. illegal?" I ask.

"No, why would you think that?" He bites back.

"Don't you legally need parent permission before your 18?" Scott definitely isn't 18.

"Um," Scott starts "That's unimportant."

I want to argue with him, but it's his body. His choice. And tattoos are kind of cool.

"Okay, after you change meet us in the jeep,"

Change? It's not like we're going to a high class tattoo parlor. I can't imagine anyone would be offended by my pajamas.

"Huh?" I say.

"You know," He hesitates "Your shorts are kind of short. You should put on some pants."

Oh no.

"Oh no." Stiles breathes.

"You did not just tell me what to wear." I start

"Hey. I'm just looking out for you." He says slowly. I think I'm scaring him. Good.

"But it's none of your business what I wear!"

"Bella, we're going out in public." He states "I don't want any.. creepy boys.. disrespecting you,"

It's almost sweet that he cares, but not sweet enough.

"Oh come on," I exclaim "I'm not dressed like a hooker- AND it's 9 o'clock on a Wednesday in Beacon Hills. No one else is gonna see me!"

"Stiles will."

He seriously did not just say that. He couldn't have. Physically, I don't think I'd survive him saying that. It's too embarrassing. I glance up at Stiles, despite my best judgment. I just need to read his face. When he looks just as mortified as I do, I realize my brother actually did just say that. Thank you Scott, for making everything more awkward than it has to be.

"Stiles sees me right now. He's fine," I feel a blush creep up my neck. This is so embarrassing.

"Stiles," Scott turns his head acutely "How do you feel about Bella's shorts,"

I cringe. I'm dying. I'm dead.

"Yeah, I'm not answering that," He replies.

"Why not?" Scott instigates

"Nothing I say will go over well," He's trying really hard to casually not look at me, but it doesn't work. His eyes are glued to his feet in the least casual way you can imagine.

"Just be honest," Scott pleads

"Oh my god," I yell "I'll change!"
