"Everything is more beautiful because we are doomed."

-Homer, The Iliad.

*WARNING : Contains a kiss and a passionate Don.*

Francesca River de Luca

"How did you know?" I broke the palpable silence.

"I know everything. And if it's about you then I know extras too." He winked at me.

"How? I never said anything to anyone, Ro doesn't even know you. Moreover, she'll not snitch. So, how?" I further pressed.

"Tesoro, did you know that the sun is irretrievably in love with the moon? He lets her steal his light every time just so she could shine brighter for him to mark and learn by heart every single perk and flaw that makes her who she is. As far fetched as it sounds, he follows her, watches her from the shadows, hiding and she never realises. Oh the tragedy, Right?" He smiled in remembrance.

As if lost in a dream.

"Will you stop with your riddles? I am getting tired of it." I snarked.

"Tired? So soon? We got lifetimes to spend together, have a little patience Francesca."

And a squeeze to my thigh.

I swatted his hand like some fly.

My anger was touching rooftops and the riddles worked like gasoline to wildfire.

Turning around, I looked outside where wind played tag with the snow flakes making various patterns and inviting trouble.

He'll never confess straight faced to anything. Everything could be lying right in front of him but he'll deny with enough confidence to make every proof doubt their validity.

He's so manipulative that it's scary to hear him talk. He doesn't speak, he recites some spells and charms that'll make sure that his will, gets him everything he wants.

The world and the people in front him are mere putty, play doughs in his hands. He shapes them as he pleases, tying the strings he plays them like a master puppeteer.

Skillful and sinful.

A sadistic brew, addictive.

The car came to a stand still, I didn't realize when we entered the estate.

"Open the door." He had the child lock on.

"You have been too sulky and silent since so long, what new tantrum are you planning to throw? Can it wait, baby? I am kinda drained tonight." He smiled cheekily like he cracked the greatest joke ever.

People should die of laughter.

Not.

"I don't have time for your nonsense, let me out." I sassed.

"Francesca, if you don't talk it won't work. I am here for you, I'll always be here for you. Don't lock me out." He sobered up instantly.

He looks so innocent and boyish. Like a highschool crush, like a young love.

"I am fine. I was just irritated with your riddles. I just need some time, you have to admit that today hasn't been easy. Give me a minute to breath for God sake, Leone. I am not some problem that you need to handle. I can do it myself, stop being so intrusive."

I blasted.

His constant nagging earned him the prize, now enjoy darling.

Urgggggghhhhh!!!!
