Waverly's POV
"Well, the plan is all set, it should go off without a hitch," Willa said, closing her map of Seabrook Power. Whoops and howls rain through the empty hallway of the high school, echoing off the walls. It was about 6 PM and all the afterschool activities had finished for the day, so we were alone in the school, which was still way too overly bright in my opinion.
I felt the earth tremble under foot, and I knew it came from Seabrook Power. They were going to get rid of it, and today was apparently the day it was going to happen, great.
Everyone else felt the movement and looked towards me, waiting for the next order. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Willa, envy and a hint of jealousy in her eyes. She hadn't liked how she had to step down from her role as Alpha, and it was apparent whenever I was around, which made me a little uncomfortable. I felt a pair of hands settle themselves on my shoulders, knowing Wyatt was their owner, and I looked away from Willa and commanded, "It's time. Wolves, get ready to get the Moonstone back. Come on!"
We ran out of the giant high school and across town, ignoring the gazes of the casual bystanders. Once we were standing in front of the huge grey power facility, I tilted my head forward, and I opened the door of the building.
I navigated the pack through the dark, damp hallway with Wyatt side by side with me, easing my nerves. Wyatt has a way of doing that, calming my nerves or anger whenever he's around. I stopped outside of a door that read "Dangerous Energy, Do Not Enter!" and knew that it had to be the Moonstone.
"This is it! The Moonstone is just through this door, Wolves!" I smile and reach out for the doorknob, but when I touched it, my hand felt like it was on fire. I sigh, look to my right and mumble to Wyatt, "Silver,"
He laughs at the minor inconvenience and he reaches out for the door with a shirt covered hand. He pushed the door open and out shone a bright, pinkish white glow, identical to our own Moonstone necklaces. I howled a celebration howl and ran to the huge stone. I waved a hand for the rest of the pack to follow, and the rest of them ran to the stone and immediately pressed their necklaces against it, their eyes glowing an amber color. I did the same and felt the most power I could ever feel serge through my body.
Once my body calmed down a little, I felt a pair of hands turn me around and lift my chin up to look at them. Wyatt was smiling the biggest smile I have ever seen. He cupped my cheeks, and I felt his lips on mine. I put my arms around his neck and kissed back. Once again, celebration howls rang through the small room, making both of us smile.
Wyatt pulled back and rested his forehead on mine, looking directly into my eyes.
"You did it, Waverly, you actually did it," he whispered. I smiled and kissed him again before going back over to the pack and saying, "Now how about we get this out of here and back to the den?"
We all surrounded the rock and lifted up on it by the cage around it. We shuffled out of the building and slowly made our way back to the den, collecting strange stares from the people at the ice cream shop, making me laugh. We were only about halfway across town when we heard a huge explosion coming from the opposite direction we were heading, so I was guessing that Seabrook Power had just been demolished.
"That was a close one," Wyatt joked, elbowing me in the arm. I chuckled and shook my head. We got the Moonstone just in time.
When we got to the wolf den, we were met with the elders outside, cheering. We placed it down inside like a big centerpiece and all the elders immediately recharged their Moonstones.
I felt a tug on my arm and was pulled into a great big group hug, and then they hoisted me up above them, cheering again. That night, we had a huge celebration party. Then it was time for the toasts.
Wyatt stood on a raised platform, getting everyone's attention before stating, "I would like to commemorate this toast to the Great Alpha, Waverly, my love," he looked me right in the eyes, "Waverly, if you hadn't came along when you did, we wouldn't be standing here right now, and for that I say thank you. Before we found you, we had basically lost all hope for surviving, but when I saw you, I knew you were the one to save us, to make us all better people. You, Waverly, have brought out the person in me that I haven't seen in such a long time, thank you. And with that, I would like to ask you something, Waverly, would you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes!" I instantly replied before standing up from my seat and pulling Wyatt into a bone crushing hug before kissing him again. I don't know what could make this night more perfect.
I saw Willa walk up to her brother, whisper something in his ear, and him hand over the microphone he had in his hands before walking me back to my seat and sitting right next to me, squeezing my hand.
"I would also like to propose a toast to Waverly. Waverly, I know that I wasn't always that kind to you, because I was jealous, I'll say it, because I didn't like the fact that a newbie was taking over my spot as Alpha, but tonight, you changed my mind. Waverly, tonight, you helped us get back our Moonstone, but more than that, you have brought out a part of my brother that I have not seen for way too long. Waverly, tonight you showed great skills that make a great alpha, so I now give you my blessing to fully become Alpha... as long as I can be second in command," she joked the last part, as laughter erupted from the crowd.
I looked up at Willa, and I could tell that she really meant what she was saying. I mouthed a "thank you" because I was already on the verge of tears. What Willa had admitted had made my absolute day-sorry Wyatt- and I knew that absolutely nothing could make this day better.

First if all, I would like to solemnly apologize for not updating in god knows how long, I've been very busy with school and I have had a little bit of writer's block, but now that it is the weekend, I will try and publish a couple more chapters to make up for it.
