Ch. 15 "Beatdown"

                                                   Kayden POV 

Let's just say for the state of argument, that my uncle is a mean bastard, I thought 

I looked at myself in the mirror, I had a bruised cheek, probably broken cheek bone, cut lip, cut on my forehead, 

I lifted my shirt seeing the bruised that littered my body, 

He was a bit less than grateful that I came home after a few weeks, 

It was dark, I got dressed in my solider outfit, Opening the window, jumping to a tree branch, and jumping down, 

Even though I'm injured I don't give a rats ass, I need to let out my pent up anger, focused on adults, 

You see when I was younger, I did try to get help for what was happening, but it turns out every freaking adult on this planet is a complete dumb ass, or simply doesn't give a damn, 

So I learned, I learned that there is nobody you can count on but yourself, no one can save you but yourself, no one you can rely on except yourself, 

That is why I do things on my own, that is why I don't trust no one, 

I only rely on me and myself alone, sure I agreed to the avengers, but only for a week, once that's done I'm packing my crap and leaving this god forsaking city, 

Start somewhere new, on my own, somewhere far away, never to be seen or heard from again, 

That is my plan, once I've gathered enough money, I'm going underground, under the grid, 

I was on top of a building, listening to the noises of New York, 

Sometimes I wonder what my parents were truly thinking putting me in the custody of Jerry, he's terrible, thinks about only himself, and he's a mean bastard, 

I see an exchange between HYDRA and a gang, going on, 

I smirked, 

You think these idiots would learn by now, 

I jumped from the building landing in the middle of them, my fist imbedding in the concrete making a crater, 

Making all the men stumble back, 

I slowly stood, 

"Having a party boys?" I said darkly 

"It's the solider lets get out of here!" The gang member yelled 

I threw a knife in his direction which in bedded in his hand and in the wall causing him to scream in agony, 

"Kill her!" The man said 

Then the shooting started and I hid behind a truck, 

I looked around for something for my advantage, 

I see a metal trashcan lid, 

"Good enough," I mumbled picking it up, 

"Heads up!" I said throwing the lid like a frisbee knocking all the thugs guns out of their hands, 

I ran towards them tackling the first man, knocking him out with my fist, 

The second man I ran to, doing a summersault kicking him in the head, making him fall to the ground with a loud thud, 

The third man charged me I did another summersault wrapping my legs around his neck bringing him to the ground hard and then I punched him in the head, 

The fourth man, was behind me, and I elbowed him in the face, and I grabbed him by the back of the neck throwing him over me onto the ground, and kicked him in the face, 

I huffed a breath, blowing some of my hair out of my face, 

"Kayden?" I hear a familiar voice, 

I slowly turned around seeing Bucky and Steve, 

How do these two meat heads always catch me at the worst possible time, I thought as I stared at them, they looked at me in pure shock, 

I looked around seeing all the men beaten to pretty much a pulp, 

I rolled my eyes turning around walking on a man's chest making him oof, as I stepped on him and started walking away, 

"Whoa, Whoa, where the hell are you going, you've got explaining to do, what the hell was that?"Bucky asked 

"Nothing that concerns you," I said as I continued to walk, 

He spins me around seeing my face, 

"What happened?" Steve said looking at my face, 

"Nothing," I said glaring at them, 

Bucky went to touch the cut on my forehead, but I slapped his hand away, 

"It's fine," I said 

"Doesn't look fine," Steve said 

"Well I didn't ask your input," I said 

"Let's go," Bucky said sternly 

"Pass," I said about to walk away, 

He grabbed me by the forearm, 

"I wasn't asking," He said
