Avengers Shattered

Ch. 39 "Search"

                                           Kayden POV 

It was odd I was actually sleeping peacefully that was until the thunder started cracking and the heavy rain poured down on the roof of the tower, 

It was late, the thunder cracked again, causing me to sit up, 

Nights like these reminded me of my sneaking out and taking out HYDRA, but now that Bucky helped me get my head on straight, 

It made me want to check into something, 

I got dressed in my solider attire, My fear now replaced with anger and revenge, 

I walked out of the tower, making my way to my old home where Jerry may or may not be, 

I mean if he was still there he's a even bigger idiot than I thought, 

I made my way to the house, as it continued to pour and the thunder loud enough to shake the ground, 

My hair and clothes drenched from the rain, I stood on the porch finding the hidden key in the potted plant on the porch, 

I opened the door, it squeaked, 

The dust that laid on the floor boards and furniture, which tells me he hasn't been here since I left, 

I need to find some sort of clue to where he is, I thought as I made my way up the wooden stairs that creaked under my feet, 

I walked down the hallway once I got to the top of the stairs, 

Opening the door to his room, no matter how many times I was in this house, it gave me the creeps, 

I hated living here, 

I walked over to the dresser, opening the drawers all of them were just filled with clothes that I just tossed over my shoulder, looking for anything, 

Next I moved to the night stand, looking through the drawers the papers that were mostly over due bills, collection agencies and other bull shit, 

As I was doing this I hear the creak of the stairs which made me freeze, 

I quickly pressed myself against the wall next to the door waiting, 

Then suddenly when I see the figure step though the doorway, 

I tackle them, making us both fall, suddenly I am straddling their waist with my hand wrapped around their throat, 

I see Spider Man, Aka Peter, 

I release his throat, 

"What are you doing here?" I asked shocked, 

"I seen you sneaking out, I got worried you were about to go after HYDRA again," He said in a concerned tone, 

I arched my brow as I looked down at him, 

"And so you followed me?" I asked 

"Umm yeah," He said 

I chuckled and I go off of him even though he was wearing a mask, I could tell he was blushing, 

I walked back to the night stand, 

and started digging, 

"So what are you looking for?" He asked 

"Where Jerry went," I said 

"Your uncle?" He asked 

"Yeah, I'm going to find him and make him pay," I said 

He didn't say anything, 

I looked over my shoulder, 

"What?" I asked 

"I don't think that's the best idea," He said 

"Only one I can think of," I said 

Then suddenly I found something, 

The HYDRA facility in New Jersey, he was working on some experiment for military grade weapons, 

"Perfect," I mumbled 

I stuffed the paper in my pocket, 

"Ready to go back?" I asked 

He nodded, 

"Hopefully Bucky and Steve haven't noticed," I mumbled 

Peter chuckled 

"Doubtful those two have a radar for when you go missing," He said 

I chuckled 

"Tell me about it," I said 

With that we walked out of the house and made our way to the tower,
