Ch. 27 "Secret"

Steve POV

I was trying to find anything on Kayden, how her family died? who were her parents? but all the files were blocked, I couldn't get to them,

I groaned,

"What's wrong Cap?" Tony said walking in,

"I've been trying to find out about Kayden's past, her parents what they did, who they were but they are blocked," I said

"Hmm, let me see," Tony said

He typed on the keyboard, his fingers flying across it,

"There," He said

We looked at each other,

It was a file HYDRA,

I read the file describing everything, how they employed Kayden's parents, under false pretenses they had know idea who they were working for, they were renowned and respected scientists, they were replicating they Super Solider serum,

How when they found out what HYDRA was up to they ran, and stayed hidden for five years, and how they were killed in their own home, how they searched for the serum but couldn't find it and ran out of time because of the police

"What's this?" Tony said clicking on a police report,

Both of Kayden's parents were reported deceased upon the arrival with police, they found five year old Kayden in the closet not even a few feet from their bodies,

"Jesus," Tony said

I nodded

Just as I was about to say something Bucky walked in,

"Come on she's on the go again," Bucky said

"Sneaking out?" I asked

"Yup," He said

I nodded

We both dressed in normal street clothes following behind her but not too close where she could know she was bing followed,

We followed her into Brooklyn

In the bad parts of Brooklyn,

"Where the hell is she going?" Bucky asked,

I glared at him,

Bucky POV

I was waiting outside on the corner waiting and watching I'm going to get to the bottom of this, I thought and soon I see her,

I rush back in the tower to get Steve and we follow her,

We followed her for a while into Brooklyn, soon we arrive in an alley, where she knocked three times on a big metal door,

A fairly large man opened the door, and she holds up three fingers, and the man let's her in,

"Let's go," I said

I banged on the door three times, the man looked at us, and we held up three fingers and he lets us in,

We see a scene that all I can describe as chaos,

one floor is drinking, the next floor is partying, then the final floor was something I was not expecting a cage fighting ring,

We enter and a Man stops us,

"Bets?" He said with a cigar in his mouth,

We look at the chalk board,

We got, the goliath vs the assassin, cheetah vs the brute, there were a lot I looked at their losses and wins and I made my choice,

"$50 on the assassin," I said

The assassin had no loses,

I gave him the money,

"Take a seat were about to begin," He said

I nodded

We took a seat,

"This isn't helping us find Kayden," Steve said

"She's probably upstairs partying, I'm curious how the underground fighting is these days," I said

Steve rolled his eyes,

Then a Ref walked in the center of the cage talking on a speaker,

"Alright ladies and gentlemen! we've got a special treat tonight!! six fights leaving the best for last!!" He said

We watched fight after fight,

The fights were brutal, none of them had a weight limit,

"Alright lets go find-" I stopped

"Alright ladies and gentlemen our last fight of the night The assassin thirty five wins and no losses vs The Goliath 25 wins and 6 losses," The ref said

I didn't bother looking I was getting bored,

"Uh, Bucky?" Steve said concerned,

I turn around to see Kayden, standing proud and tall, not far from a huge dude much taller and muscular than her,

"You've got to be kidding me," I said

The crowed cheered as Kayden looked up at the man darkly,

"Fuck," I said
