Sunny smile. "Look me in the eye and guess if this is just a prank or not." paghahamon nito sa kapatid.

I saw Treyden's Adam's apple move. I know it's hard for him to face this.

"Sunny." Treyden whispered. He is not crying nor moving. He is just standing there, not removing his eyes away from his sister.

"Everything will be fine, kuya. Pumunta ako rito to say that this will be the last time na pupunta ako rito." She chuckled bitterly.

Kaagad na inalis ni Treyden ang pagkakayakap ng kapatid at seryosong tumingin dito. "What do you mean? You should stay here, lalo pa ngayon."

"Babalik muna ako sa Japan, kay Lola Lol. She needs to know. Isa pa, maraming kilalang doctor si Lola Lol doon. Pag-iisipan ko pa kung kaya ko bang..." Nakayuko niyang sabi. Hindi nita tinapos ang gusto niyang sabihin pero naintinidhan ko kaagad kung ano.

"Hindi ba masakit 'yun? Sensitive ako sa sakit, wala bang painless?" Mahina niyang tawa, nanatili naman kaming tahimik ni Treyden.

"Sunny, please be serious, will you? This is not something you should joke about. Sasamahan kita—"

"No fucking way please. Gusto kong mapag-isa. Sana maintindihan mo kuya. Isa pa 'wag kang tumingin sa akin na parang mamamatay ako. Ako nga na ang lakas ng tingin sa sarili hindi ko iniisip na mamatay ako eh." Mahina niyang tawa.

I tighten my grip.

How can she be so calm?

"I'll talk to Dr. Henry, he's a hematologist and a close friend of mine. Nasa Japan siya ngayon." Inilabas ni Treyden ang cellphone bago kami iwanan.

I heard Sunny sigh before walking inside the kitchen. I cannot help but to follow her and watch her movements.

Mabilis siyang kumuha ng tubig at baso, at dahan-dahang nagsalin doon.

"May sasabihin ka 'no? Sabihin mo na hindi ako magagalit." Inilapag niya ang bag niya sa lamesa bago tumingin sa akin.

I gulped. "Answer me honestly, ayaw mong mag pa chemotherapy 'no?" Mabilis kong tanong na ikinaliit ng mata niya.

"Next question please." She snapped her fingers.

"Sunny Rios."

She sighed. "Fine, you're right. You startled me with your question, Gray Trevor huh."
