The next morning
Alison:
I woke up and checked my phone but didn't see any text messages from Emily. I shouldn't worry too much, I mean she was with Paige yesterday. I shuddered at the thought of what they had been doing. I decided I should go see her and just talk to her. Emily was definitely worth fighting for.

I knocked on her door and was greeted by her mom. "Come on in" she smiled at me and opened the door wider. I smiled in reply and sat down in the living room.
"Em, honey. Ali's here!" Mrs. Fields yelled to Emily. I heard the quick pitter patter of feet across the floor and looked up to seem Emily still in her pajamas. "Hi." She said, she seemed anxious and her hair was all tangled.
"Oh hey Alison." Paige followed Emily hugging her from behind. I hoped that my jealousy wasn't too evident in my eyes.
"Hey." I said to Paige but then to Emily I said, "can I talk to you alone?"
"Sure. I love you Paige. Why don't you make us some breakfast?" She kissed her and then turned her attention to me. I crinkled my nose at the kiss but then straightened my face.
"What is it?" She asked formally, which scared me.
"I wanted to talk to you about the kiss yesterday- and well pretty much all of the kisses we've had-" I started to say but I was interrupted by Emily.
"Ali, I get it. They're just for practice and well I committed myself to Paige and I was thinking you know, we should probably stop all this kissing and cuddling too and start acting like what we are- just friends." She informed me.
I tried to act relieved, "yeah, that's what I was going to say." I then stopped myself repeating what she had just said to me in my head, "wait, did you and Paige sleep together?!?"
She didn't say anything but instead look down and bit her lip.

Oh my god. Oh my god, they did.

"Maybe we did but anyways I think we need space Ali, Paige gets a little jealous sometimes." Emily answered after a while. My eyes stung but I nodded my head. I was really good at covering things up.

Space. She thinks we need space. She always knows how to get to me.
Could I handle not seeing her?
