Chapter Ten - Courage

Tommy's POV-

I've been playing minecraft for around half an hour now, y/n had been watching intently the whole time, her eyes only leaving the screen to look up at my face for a minute, then looking back.

I wanted to just tell her all my feelings but i'm scared to do it, it's quite nerve wracking to do something like that, especially when they are your best friend..

I must have got too lost in thoughts because y/n's hand came to my face and she whispered "you alright tom? you zoned out..". She looked actually concerned. "huh? Oh shit sorry, got lost in thoughts," I say. "Don't apologise Tom, it's alright, I tend to do that too," she says, placing her hand ontop of mine on the desk. I smile at her and she smiles back, twice as warm as the one I gave her. "I want you to know If you ever need to get something off your chest I'll always be here to listen," she says, brushing hair up and away from my eyes. I smile and say "of course, i'll always be here for you too,".

She smile and wraps her arms around my neck. Her hot breath hits my skin, making it tingle. My arms move away from my keyboard and around her waist. "Wait am I crushing you- I'm sorry I should have asked before I-" Y/n panics, pulling away and trying to get off me. She stops talking as I press my index finger to her lips and place my hand on her waist to stop her from getting up. "I would have made it obvious I was being crushed y/n," I reassure her. We both seemed to realise at the same time how close our faces were because we both turn red. She hugs me, our faces touching from the side. I couldn't help but smile, maybe I'll confess tomorrow, she wouldn't hurt me right? Well, she cannot fight so yeah seems so.

I seem to have zoned out again, with a worried look this time. But I snap into reality and y/n is rubbing circles on my cheek. "your very distant Tom, you alright?" She asks, again looking worried for me. "I'm sorry again, lost in thought," I say. "you know if you have a little crush or girlfriend you can tell me maybe you'll get some advice on how to approach her without looking scary-" she says, jokingly nudging me, but I knew she actually wanted to know. "No y/n i don't have a girlfriend, and how dare you insult me i'm very approachable," I say pouting.

She laughs softly and asks "can I play minecraft?". I nod and she turns around on my lap and faces my pc. I rest my chin on her shoulder, keeping my arms around her waist.

She plays around on my survival world, fighting mobs and killing animals for food before she says "I'm really tired.." while she's leaning back on me. "Go to sleep then, stupid," I say, jokingly. "Your coming with me or I'm not sleeping," she demands. "okay don't be bossy or I won't!" I say, booping her nose. "mkay..."she mumbles, I probably wasn't supposed to hear it but I did.

I turn off my pc and suddenly pick her up bridal style, causing her to quietly shriek at me suddenly just picking her up. I throw her down onto the bed and lay beside her, I scroll through Instagram, y/n resting against my shoulder, I slowly slip my arm underneath her
so I can eventually wrap my arm around her, her head moved to my chest. She nuzzles into my chest and I whisper to her "goodnight princess,". I knew I had flustered her, from the little squeal she made while hiding her face and she whispers back, after calming down "goodnight cutie,".

I go completely red, redder than a tomato. I'm dreaming right? She did not- but she just did... agh! I get under the covers with the girl still clinging onto me. I build up courage and kiss her forehead goodnight. i wrap my arms carefully around her. She snuggles up to me, her arms wrapping around my torso.
