Part 15

Shannon's POV::
I woke up at 3am before anyone else. I slipped out of bed and went downstairs to make myself a coffee.
"Morning" Kol yawned
"Morning" I smiled
"You alright?" He asked
"Yeah you?"
"Yeah I'm good"
"Yesterday was a handful" I sighed
"I'm just glad he's alive" he said
"I'm sorry about last night" I say as I rub my neck. I was so emotional that Elijah was alive I fell asleep crying into Kol's arms.
"Hey don't worry about that" he walked closer to me and hugged me.
"I'm still going to kill him" I said as Kol looked at me and laugh.
"Not without me your not" we both laughed.

Elijah's POV :
I woke up to the sound of Shan and Kol talking I was annoyed at first because I had only just got to sleep but I quickly grew happy when I saw Hayley asleep next to me. She looked so peaceful. I sit watching her for about 20 minutes before I realise how long I've been thinking of her. I pull her closer to me being careful not waking her up I rest my face behind her neck and I place my arm around her waist and my hand rests on her stomach. Suddenly I feel her belly kick.
"Oh my god" I say
"Mhmm what's wrong" Hayley asks as she turns but not escaping my arms
"He kicked!" I say amazed
"Really?!" She asked as she looked into my eyes.
"Yes" I beam at her and she smiles
at me
"What?" I ask blushing slightly
"That face it's..."
"It's what?" I laugh
"...cute" she finishes. I smile and roll my eyes at her as I pull her closer to me. She rests her head in my neck and I place mine on top of hers and once again she falls asleep in my arms.

*next morning*

Hayley's POV:

I woke up and Elijah was gone. My mood dramatically changed and I sighed as I sat up in his bed. That's when Shan ran in the room with a suitcase in her hands and started emptying all my clothes from the drawers and chucking them into the suitcase.
"Shan what are you doing?" I look at her confused
"We have to leave... right now!" She said as she began packing faster
"Wait what? Why? Where's Elijah?"
"I'll explain in the car" she said as she zipped up the suitcase
"No tell me now" I demanded
"Ugh" she sighed and held her face in her palms
"Fine whatever" she gave in
"It's Jackson he's trying to kill your baby"
"WHAT!" I ask
"Elijah is going to stop him but Hayley he's told me to get you the hell out of New Orleans and we need to go"
"What no I'm not leaving without Elijah!" I said and at that moment Kol walked in
"Got everything" he asked Shan
"Yeah but she's refusing to leave" she sighed
"I'm not leaving without him!" I demand
"Oh yes you are" he picks me up and I start hitting his back
"KOL PUT ME DOWN" I demand as I watch Shan grab the bags and laugh.

*in the car*

I'm in the back and Shan and Kol are sat in the front.
"You alright now?" she asked as she turned in her seat to face me. I just gave her a death stare
"He's fine I assure you" she said
"I wouldn't of left if he wasn't" she gave me a sympathetic look
"Speaking of the devil" Kol said as he answered the phone that was connected to his car speakers
"Elijah?" Kol said
"Is everything okay?" Shan said as she sat up in her seat
"I'm fine how is she?" He asked
"She's annoyed at us" Kol laughed
"I'm sorry Hayley..." he said through the phone
"I had to make sure you and our baby were safe" he said waiting for my response. I didn't know what to say.
"Yes I know but I'm annoyed at you for not saying bye yourself" i huffed
"It would've been too hard" "Anyways" he coughed.
"I'll update you later" he said before hanging up the phone.
"By-" Shan said and was cut off by the phone going down.
"Where are we going?" I asked
"To see my other best friend" Shan said turning to face me again
"Who? Where?"
"His name is Damon and in mystic falls" she laughed
"DAMON?" I nearly choked on my water
"Yes do you know him?" She was curious
"He's not very keen on me" Kol laughed
"He will be when I explain your my family" Shan smiled
"We are nearly at his house" Shan said
"I don't think they like me either" I chucked slightly
"Let me talk to him before you get out the car" Shan said as we pulled into a driveway.
She walked up to the door.

Shannon's POV:

I rang the doorbell and a woman answered and it was Elena.
"Hey? Who are you?" She asked
"Hey you don't know me but I know your boyfriends brother and I'm here to see him" I smile at her
"Oh okay I'll go get Stefan" she smiled
"Oh no I'm here for Damon" I say confused. She looked at me and looked confused.
"Um right"
"Damon?" She called.
"Yes bab-" he walked towards the door and froze in his path as he saw me.
"SHAN?"
"Damon!" I smile at him and run towards him giving him the biggest hug I ever have.
"Omg how are you here" he smiled
"Im here because my family are in trouble" I say as I pull away from him.
"Your family? I thought they were dead?" He asks
"Yes they are but it's my ex boyfriends family" I laugh
"Oh is that them" he points to the car and his face drops.
"Shan... KOL IS YOUR FAMILY?!"
"yes but Damon he has changed since you last saw him... he was only bad because he believed I was dead" I sigh
"For you... I'll forgive him" Damon said before hugging me again. As he hugged me I motioned for Kol and Hayley to come out of the car.
"Kol, Hayley meet Damon"
"We've met" Kol says as he rubs his neck
"Listen Damon... im sorry for my behaviour last time we met" Kol says
"It's... fine" Elena answered.
"And this is my sister in law... kinda" I say as I motion towards Hayley.
"How does that make sense" Damon laughs
"Remember my other best friend" I laugh
"Yeah"
"Well he is In love with Hayley and they are having a baby" I smile
"So technically she's my sister" I laugh along with Damon.
"Come in" he smiles. We walk in and Elena shows kol and Hayley to our rooms. I sit on the sofa with Damon and his other best friend... bourbon.

"So..." I ask
"Yeah what's up?" Damon laughs
"Elena?" I smile
"What about her" he smiles back
"Well... last time I was here you was completely in love with her but she loved Stefan... and now?"
"Now what?" He smirked
"Now you are clearly with her" I laugh. He smiles at me.
"Yeah I can't believe she picked me most days"
"Damon who wouldn't pick you" I wink at him and he laughs while pouring another drink.
"So then what about you and kol" he laughs
"What about us?" I laugh
"Are you... you know" he raises his eyebrows
"Well... it's complicated" I half smile
"Anyways how's Stef my second fav Salvatore"
"He's out at the grill he should be home soon"
"I can't wait to see him. I've missed you both so much!"
"We missed you two but tell me why are you back?" I explained everything that had happened since I had gone to New Orleans.
"So her ex? Is trying to kill her"
"Pretty much yeah" I laugh
"Well if he comes near here I will happily kill him" he chuckled
"Good old Damon Salvatore" I smile
"SHANNON?!" I hear Stefan call from the doorway
"STEF" I shout as I run into his arms
"How are you here?"
"It's complicated" Damon shouts from the sofa
"I bet" Stefan laughs.
"Who's your friend" I say as a tall blonde man walks In behind Stefan.
"Hey I'm matt"
"Hey" I smile at him
"Let's get drunk" Elena says as she walks downstairs beside kol.
"YES!" Damon says as Elena sits in his lap.
We all sit down and kol goes into the kitchen with matt to get a drink.
"Shan" Damon whispers
"Yeah" I whisper back
"I dare you to flirt with matt"
"Omg yes" Stefan laughs along with him
"Okay then" I wink and as they walk in I turn to matt. He sits down and I sit on his lap and lean it to whisper in his ear.
"You know you like it but it drives you insane"
"You know you like it but your scared of the shame" I pull away from his ear slowly and kol walks in.
"What's going on?" He asks Stefan
"Shhh it's getting good" Stefan said back to him. As i pull away from Matt and try to get up he kisses me.
"Hey!" Damon says before he gets up to hit Matt for kissing me
"What?" He asks
"I swear to go-" Damon is stopped by Elena pulling him back
"Be nice" she says as she pulls him back next to her
"I'll be um upstairs" Kol says before walking upstairs.
"Kol?" I say as I follow him
"Is that her boyfriend!" Matt asks now scared
"You better hope not" Damon laughs
"This is why I hate vampires" Matt scoffs
"Don't worry we hate your species too" Damon laughs
"What but liz is a human" Matt says
"Your not a human Matt..." Damon says
"Yes I am!" He says
" no your a rat" him and Stefan burst out laughing.
