"I just thought there would be more."

The car stops infront of the giant Grindelwald manor, luckily the sign that welcomed its guest was removed.

The name had been itched onto the metal at the entrance of the manor, which was replaced with a small welcome.

Sirius gapes as he stares at the huge house, the walls were towering and covered in greenery, age clearly taking its toll, but the manor was still a gorgeous sight.

"And you said your not a princess." Sirius breaths

Queenie giggles. "She might as well be." Queenie teases

Anna sends her a look. "Mother." Anna stresses, she's no princess of course, but her father used to call her his little princess, promising her that once he takes over the wizarding world he'll make Anna one.

"Wait.... your surname is Snow, so like Snow White?" Sirius teases

Anna laughs, shaking her head. "That's her first name you idiot." Anna teases

Sirius chuckles, pouting.

"What did your father do for a living?" Sirius breaths, not really realizing what he's asking, but Sirius was clueless of who Anna's father is, so she doesn't say anything.

"Her father was a politician, he was a Pureblood but he worked as a speaker for both Muggles and wizards, he bought this house when I was pregnant with Anna here. We had many enemies, so we had to keep her safe and secluded." Queenie says

Not far off the truth.

"Oh." Sirius says

Sirius knew that Anna hated her father, so he's assuming it has something to do with keeping her locked away.

Anna was staring hard at the ground. She hates hearing about her father, she knows exactly who his enemies are and they were the good guys.

....

"This will be your room for the remaining break, but you are welcomed to stay longer. You seem to really care for my daughter." Queenie says

Sirius shuffles awkwardly. Anna was off towards her room, putting away her bags, having been convinced by her mother to let her take him to his room.

"How can you tell." Sirius asks

"Don't tell my daughter I told you this, but I'm a Legilimens, so I can see into peoples minds, but don't worry, I didn't invade your memories, I just read your current thoughts, I may not have complete control but I do have boundaries. And I can tell you this honestly, I don't need to look into your mind to notice the....affection you have towards Anna." Queenie says

Sirius swallows harshly, worried. "Does Anna have the same gifts as you do?" Sirius asks, he knew it was a genetic gift and he was silently praying to Merlin that it magically skipped a generation.

Queenie hesitates, she knows she should leave it up to her daughter to tell the young boy, but by the look of his face, she knows that he knows the answer to his own question, but it's better to explain before he gets angry towards Anna and assume the worst.

"She does, but she was taught at a young age to suppress her Legilimency, she is a lot stronger then I am and she's a good girl. She would never look into your mind without permission, so you have nothing to worry about, just don't mention it to her that I told you. She already hates me." Queenie says

"How can she hate you, you seem like a good mother, a mother I wish I had." Sirius says

"Every family is complicated dear, others more so. I did something I deeply regretted, something I can never undo, and I wasn't a good mother to Annabelle. I let my fear drive me. I may have never laid a hand on her, but pain is still pain, physical or emotional. She has every right to hate me." Queenie says

"What did you do that was so wrong and unforgiving." Sirius asks

"I'm sorry dear, but it's not my secret to tell and....even then, we can't tell you. I know you have many questions, but just know, Annabelle is a good girl, and she would do anything for those she loves and I can tell that she loves you, maybe not romantically, not yet, but as her friend and as her family. I would've loved to have you as a son-in-law by the way. I can already picture the gorgeous grandbabies" Queenie teases

Sirius couldn't help but smile and let out a small laugh. Extremely flattered and touched.

He was also happy that Queenie saw him as a good partner for Anna, something he wished for every night, despite the guilt eating at his heart, because that only meant it would break one of his greatest friends heart.

But what made his heart soar was hearing from Anna's own mother, that he saw love from Anna towards him.

Queenie knew Anna better then anyone, so it gave him a guilt ton hope.
