(Mad's POV)
We get to Grill'd in no time and meet up with Liv. We don't see Liv right away because there's a couple of other guys sitting with her. Abs and I don't see who it is immediately, but once we sit down we see who it is!
"Omg hey you guys, long time so see" I say
"Hey Abs and Liv" Jacob Weitering and Caleb Marchbank says as they get up and we give each other hugs
"Hey, you guys" Abs said
"Hiya" I say back and we all sit down
"I feel like it's been so long since we have seen each other" Abs said
"Yeah it's been a while" Jacob replied with
"How are you guys going" I ask
"Yeah, I've been alright, footys been tough, but Marchy's had it worse than me" Jacob says
"OMG, i totally forgot that you did your ACL, hows recovery going" I ask
"Yeah it's been tough, I'm still resting it because it's been about 4 weeks since surgery, but there is absolutely no chance I will play the season and maybe early next season" Marchbank replies with
"How did it happen" Liv asks
"Well, In the first quarter of my first VFL game back, I was going up for a mark on the wing and I guess I just landed wrong and barely could walk off the field and we basically knew right then and there I did my ACL" Marchy says
"Jeez, I'm so sorry Marchy, but I know you will be back out there next season, and if it means anything I will come to your games with Celeste (his girlfriend)" I say
"Thank you Mads, it means a lot" Caleb responds
"Oh you don't wanna see me" Jacob joking says and Liv punches him
"Maybe" I say
I have known Jacob since we were kids, our dads used to work together and they slowly bonded over the fact that they were both bulldogs supporters. So, basically since the age of like 5 we had been going to games together and spending at least one day a weekend watching games! We slowly starting creating a bond and that bond only grew over time! Jacob has been there for me so many times, he's always one call away and I know I can tell him anything! and he knows that I would do the same thing for him! Sadly, however when Jacob moved to Carlton, Darren (his dad) switched to Carlton and the blues became my second favourite club. But I did however own a Blues Guernsey with the number 23 on the back!
I met Marchy through Jacob! Jacob took Marchy under his wing when he got traded from the Giants and introduced us because he thought we would be good friends and the rest is history! And when I met Abs, we found out that we both knew Marchy, so we all just started hanging out!
We all just sat at Grill'd and talked for hours, but Liv and I realised that it was already 2pm and we have to go home to study, yay fun!
"Jeez, Liv and I should really head home, we have got some uni study to do" I say
"Well, we will see you guys later, and maybe you guys can come to a game, I can get you guys tickets!" Jacob says
"Yeah definitely, I'm sure we can figure something out" I reply back
"Yep done" Liv says and we say our goodbyes and head back home
When we arrive home we both go straight to our rooms and knock out some very boring study! Liv and I have always been the type of learners to self teach, her and I love to go on cute little study dates and literally not say a word to each other! I reckon that is the main reason her and I get along so well, I'm honestly surprised that we aren't related given how similar we are!
(1 month later)
"Bro I think Dunks is starting physio" Liv says. 5 weeks ago when Josh was playing against GWS, he went up for a contest and long story short, dislocated his shoulder and needed surgery. He has his surgery a little over 4 weeks ago now!
"Why do u think that?" I ask
"Well you know the video that bulldogs posted for Buku debuting, I saw Dunks sitting with Adsy with a towel over his shoulder and sweaty " Liv responds
"Jesus, Liv you are reading into this situation way more than you should" I say back
"Yeah I know, but Lara did say yesterday that she is gonna try to get Dunks to come to the beginner spin class" Liv said
"That's fair but you never know" I reply
"Well you will find out today!" Liv said
Long short story, Lara, Jess and I have become somewhat good friends, Lara had invited for Liv and I to come to one of her games and we just hit it off since then and yesterday us 4 met up for a bunch and we got onto the topic about spin and Lara mentioned that Dunks is slowly getting into cardio and non arm exercise and I recommended coming to one of my beginner class and she said she will try to convince him.
(Lara's POV)
(12 hours ago)
"Please Dunks, you should come to the beginner class, I think you will really enjoy it, you can get your mind of Morgan for once and you can finally meet Mads" I ask
"I don't know, what if I check with the physio (davo) and if he gives me the all clear I will come" Dunks says and I nod
(30 minutes later)
"Lara, davo said I should be all good, I guess you convinced me" Josh said
"Convinced you to do what" Morgan says barging into our house
"Oh lovely your here" I say and walk back to my room
"Yes hi Lara" Morgan says giving me the fakest smile
(Josh's POV)
I know that Lara is probably right about Morgan, but I've always hated breaking up with someone. I just hate the feeling of not knowing what could happen in the future. Like what if Morgan is the one for me, but just not right now!
I normally do listen to Lara, but I think it's time for me to just trust my heart...
"Joshy I told you I don't think you should go" Morgan says as she walks over to the couch
"Why" I ask
"Well one, I don't want you to hurt your fame by injuring yourself again and two I know that Lara will try to set you up with this Mads girl" Morgan says
"Please why would she do that" I ask, but I know why
"Oh I know how Lara Dunkley feels about me, she's made that pretty clear over the past year" Morgan says
"Morg, she's just looking out for me, she's my big sister" I rely back with moving myself a bit further away
"I know but I want you all to myself" Morgan says trying to come closer to me
"And you do" I say, but deep down I do really wonder who this Maddy girl is. I mean Lara has told me too many times to count how wonderful and amazing she is and how she is perfect for me!
(Mad's POV)
I wake up with not much time to get ready. I do really deep down that Josh comes today, but I know I can't get my hopes up because I literally have never met him before, well not formally anyway! I quickly run downstairs, get a protein shake to have after spin and say goodbye to Liv!
I'm at the studio in no time and I see my lovely not so drunk boss
"Morning Sam" I say happily
"Why are you so happy this monday morning" Sam asks, cuz he knows I hate monday mornings
"No reason" I quickly reply back
"Please I will find out soon or later, so just tell me" Sam says
"Well I might have a special guest coming today" I reply trying to give away too much
"What do you mean" Sam asks
"Lara might be bringing Josh today" As soon as those words left my mouth the gorgeous 6'3, brown hair, blue eyed Josh Dunkley walked into the studio... He's even more gorgeous in real life is all I can think!
