(Mad's POV)
Today's the big day, they day that took ages to get here. Its the big game the Western Bulldogs vs Port Adelaide Power!
I wake up like no other day, just a but happier today! I quickly check my phone before I get up out of my bed and I see a message from Lara.
Lara's message reads "Hey, Kyza and I will come and pick you up at 2 as Josh said we can go into the rooms before the game, and Josh is gonna go with Marcus cuz Bevo wants him there!"
I quickly reply "Can't wait"
I thought I had plenty of time, but I check the time on my phone before I get out of bed and I see that it is already 11:30, which means I don't have as much time to get ready as I thought.
I quickly get out of bed and put my ugs on because its a lovely 9 degrees outside!
I can already hear Liv making so much noise as she normally does!
I walk about of my room like an absolute zombie even though I literally 13 hours of sleep!
"Morning sleepyhead" Liv says
"Morning love" I say and I take a seat at the kitchen bench
"Want some breakfast" she asks me as she shows me the extra breakfast she made for herself
"I would love some" I say as Liv puts some scrambled eggs on a plate with bacon
"So, how are 23 getting to the game" Liv asks me
"Lara and Kyza are gonna pick us up at 2pm" I say to her
"Doesn't the game start at 4:20" Liv asks
"Yeah it does but we going to go in the rooms" I say to Liv has she starts smiling "What"
"Do I have to say it" Liv says as I roll my eyes "I TOLD U SO MADS"
"I know I know, maybe it will actually go somewhere" I say trying to be realistic
"Mad's will you please actually shut the f*ck up, you are literally going on a date after the game, so its gonna go somewhere" Liv says
"Yeah your right" I say with the biggest smile on my face
"So what are you wearing" Liv asks me
"I was just thinking something basic like my blue jeans with a white crop with a black puffer and then the doggies scarf with his badge, what about you" I ask her
"Well I was gonna wear that, so maybe I'll wear black jeans instead with the beige puffer and my scarf with bonti's badge" she says smiling
"Maybe I will try to set you up with him" I say as she hits my shoulder
"Don't you dare" she says but I know she wants me too
"I'm gonna go shower" I say as I walk back into my room, but behind I get in I decide to quickly message Josh
"Hey, cant wait to see you" I say and I turn my music on and hop in the shower and hop when I get out I will have a message from him
I decided that Iot would be the best decision for me not to wash my hair because other wise it will turn into a complete fluff ball!
I stay in the shower for probably a but too long just letting the warm water warm my body up before I have to go outside and freeze my entire body off!
I get outside of my shower because soon my water bill will be threw the roof. I dry off and wash my face, when Josh's name pops up on my phone
"Cant wait to see you, sorry I can't pick up with, coaches orders, but I assume Lara has told you that with the tickets Ive gotten u and Liv you guys can come into the rooms before and after the game" he says
I dry off my hands and reply "Yep, Lara told me, Liv'snervous though"
I quickly put on my game day clothes as Josh replies back
"Why, she is definitely not that type of person" he says
"Well, Bont is her favourite player and uh, lets just say she might have a little crush on him" I say even though I probably shouldn't have said it
"Well, maybe I might have to set her up" he says and a smile appears on my face
"Omg, would you, I think she might hate me but if something sparks it will be her world" I type back
"I'll let him know, but I can't promise anything" he type back
"Thank you love" I type back way too quickly
"love.." Josh types back and I immediately regret forgetting to check what I have typed
"Sorry, too quick for my own good" I type back hoping that he will just forget about what I had just said
"Dont worry, I liked it love :)" he types back and my stomach flutters
"Well, see you soon" I type back and Josh likes my message
(Josh's POV)
Well, thats something I didn't think would happen, but lets just say I'm very glad it did happen
"What are you smiling about" Lara asks me
"Mad's just called me love" I said
"Well, she's moving quickly" Lara says as she walks into her room to I assume to get ready
Before Lara enters her room I shout "See you later Lar, see you at the game"
I hear a honk outside the house which means I better get a move on cuz Bont will be annoyed if I have to make him wait
Today is a big ass game, against the one of the best teams in the comp! I have loved playing the Power over the last few years, just cuz its always a good game!
But obviously this year is different with me being injured, but it does give me a chance to sit with all of the other injured players and girlfriends and wive!
Thankfully we live close to Marvel, so Bont and I get there quickly, which is always nice thing. I get into the ground and head into the rooms, which are surprisingly empty, besides the Lippa, Dale and Hunter.
"Long time no see Dunks" Lippa says coming up to me
"You ready for today" I ask him
"Ready as I'll ever be, I think you are more nervous though" Lippa says as he gives me a pat on the back
"Hopefully it will all go well" I say
"I'm sure it will" Bont says
"That reminds me, I forgot to tell you in the car, Mad's is bringing Liv, her best friend, who may or may not have a slight crush on the big number 4" I say
"Well, double date?" Bont says smiling and I dont reply "loosen up Dunks, I was kidding, I cant wait to meet her"
"Dont hurt her if it goes anywhere please" I say
"Calm your horses Dunks, I haven't even met her" He says
"Yeah I know, I think that's just the nerves talking" I say as a bunch more of the boys walk in
