(Mad's POV)
"It's a date then" I type back to Josh
"It's a date, also, do you wanna grab a bit to eat after the game" Josh typed back
"I would love too"I say back
"Your choice" he says
"No problem, I'll message you when I think of a place "I type back and he likes the message
"So?" Liv asks me
"I think I've got a date with Josh Dunkley" I say
"AHHH, this is literally your dream since you were young" Liv said
"Yeah, but I never thought it would actually happen " I tell her
"But it actually is" she says
"Yeah I guess it is" I say
"Well, we need to make sure that your bulldogs gear is ready for the game" she says
"Bro, what the actual f*ck am I gonna wear" I say
"We will figure that out, I think you need a buy a dunks badge" she says
"Actually that's not a bad idea" I say
Liv and I ended up going out for dinner and we bought a Dunks badge for me and a Bont one for Liv because you never know what will happen.
(Josh's POV)
Today is a day like no other, we are doing our last hard training session before the game on Friday. Today's session went really well besides my shoulder was causing some pain, but the doc's and physio's said that if it still hurts tomorrow they will see if I will put it in jeopardy for the game
"Why are you so chirpy" Adsy asks me when we are calming down from doing a running session
"Remember that girl I told you about, Mad's" I ask him
"Yeah, what about her" he says
"Well, she's coming to the game and we are gonna go on a little date after the game" I say
"Go Dunks" Ads says
"What are we so happy about" Bont asks me as he comes over with Pat Lipinski
"Josh has got a girl coming to the game"
"Aw, is this a this the girl you couldn't stop talking about yesterday" Lippa says
"Yeah it is" Marcus says punching me and I smile
"So, Joshy boy do you see it going anywhere" Ads asks me
"How am I suppose to answer that, I've only met her a couple of time" I say back
"Well, do you want anything to happen" Marcus asks me
"I think so, I mean I don't think I will know until after the date, but as of right now, I do want something to happen" I say and all of the boys get around me
When you get drafted all you think about is wanting to impress the boys and play round one, which is something a lot of young guns are able to achieve, but want you dont realise is that you get a new family.
The bulldogs have become my family, I love every single player with all of my heart and would do anything to protect them.
Being apart of a footy team and having that relationship with everyone is probably one of the most underrated experiences. You are basically making life long friendship and living our you life long dream in the process.
It's so easy for the media to grab a hold of something and completely spin it especially if a player wants to move club, which is what happened to me last season. The only 2 reasons I requested to trade to the dons is that I wanted to play with Kyle and I wasn't playing enough midfield time for my liking.
But not to my surprise, Bevo and everyone else didn't let me go and allowed me to stay at my forever home and still play mid. Even if its not for the entire game!
Its a bit later now and I'm over at Adsy house with Kimmy and Lara, while Kyle is out with his girlfriend Olivia.
We are all sitting around the couch memorised by the star of the show Georgia!
Staying at the bulldogs was the second best thing to happen to me this season, the best thing was Adam moving to the dogs.
I knew it was hard on him moving from the pies especially since how everything played out, but it was almost a blessing in disguise. I mean it's been pretty well documented Ads and I friendship and nothing changes when the camera is off.
"What happened at training today Josh" Lara asks me
"What do you mean" I say back to her because that is very abnormal thing for her to say
"Ads slipped up" Lara says back to me when I completely remember that I forgot to tell her about Mads and I because I rushed out of the house this morning because I was running late
"Oh Sh*t, I completely forgot to tell you" I say to her
"Yeah you did pretty boy" she says to me
"Well, Mads is coming to the game and we are going to dinner after the game" I say
"F*ck yeah, I told you so" Lara says smiling
I knew that Lara always wanted for Mads and I to even just go on a date, I mean she has been trying to find me a girlfriend for ages even before I was dating Morgan.
"Hold up, who's Mads" Kimmy asks
"She's a spin instructor at a spin place Lara goes to" I say
"Well I cant wait to meet her" Kimmy says
"Oh you should totally come to a spin class with me, you will love it" Lara says to Kimmy and Ads and I make eye contact and shake our heads
"Yes please, I need to get away from these two" Kimmy says and she points to Ads and I
"What are you nervous that I will steal you man" I say jokingly
"Oh please you couldn't if you tried" Kimmy says smiling
I'm so glad that the Treloars and Dunkley get along so well because it could have been bad if one of us didn't.
The rest of the night was spent watching a movie on Netflix and of course Ads couldn't make a bloody choice so we only watched half of a movie before Lara and I decided that we need to go home before it gets too late.
