||Part 2 Chapter 9!!||

||Y/n's P.o.v||

The class ended up letting Terasaka and his friends hang with Itona for a while and then we reconvened at Yoshida's motorcycle riding place...thing... However, it became obvious that they had no idea what they were doing. Yoshida had Itona on the back of his motorcycle one minute, and then the next he was in the bushes.

"They're just making it up as they go along..." I heard Okano say wearily.

"Yea..." One of my other classmates agreed.

"I mean, they're basically idiots. What do you want?" Karma commented.

I elbowed Karma it the arm,

"Be nice!" I told him, "They're trying their best with their limited amount of resources with a limited amount of time!" I scolded

"At least Hazama's got some brains!" Okuda added.

I nodded, "Yea! Okuda gets it!" I agreed.

Suddenly Terasaka was shouting,

"What a friggin' pain! Hazama, your stuff is always way too involved and way too dark!!!"

I grimaced,

"I take it back...Itona's gonna die...if not by the tentacles, then by Terasaka and his friends..."

"Ah, come on Y/n, what happened to that positive attitude you just had!" Nagisa said trying to cheer me up.

He started patting my head like he always does anytime I'm upset. And just like that I was cured from my depression and was leaning my head into Nagisa's hand like a stupid cat,

"Stop feeding Y/n's ego, she just wants attention." Karma sighed in annoyance, "She's more of a lost cause than Itona is."

"Shut up! that's totally not true, I'm still upset, asshole..." I pouted.

Of course that was a lie, but hey, Nagisa didn't need to know that. Unfortunately all good things in my life must come to an end and my attention was grabbed again by something else. I heard Hazama say something about Itona. When I looked over it was worse than I could have imagined. Itona was back on his feet and the white's of his eyes had gone red, along with his black tentacles now being out and active again,

"W--What the hell happened!!" I asked, now jolting my head back upright.

Terasaka and his friends ran away, and Itona was saying something but I couldn't make out what it was. Whatever Itona said, it made Terasaka stop and turn back to Itona. Terasaka had something to say,

"Hey Itona. I used to think like you. I couldn't wait to kill that octopus. But you can't do it. Not right away. Get rid of that impossible vision of yours. It's easier that way."

"Shut up!" Itona shouted at him.

Itona tried to attack Terasaka with a tentical, but Tersaka caught it,

"That's the second time...and you're weaker now. Easier to grab." I heard him say, "Still hurts enough to make me wanna hurl though. But that just reminds me of Muramatsu's ramen."

"Hey!" Murmatsu exclaimed.

Then Terasaka continued on with his little speech. Now it was about gross ramen, and business recommendations?? What the hell were they doing with Itona all this time?? Anyhow, then Tersaka continued to say,

"C'mon, Itona."

He punched Itona in the head catching me off guard,

"Don't let a couple losses throw you off course! All you gotta do is win someday. And when it comes to killin' that octopus... it don't hafta be now. We can fail a hundred times over. Just kill him once before March...and we win. You can use the prize money to buy back your dad's factory. Then your folks could come back." He said.

"I can't stand this." Itona told him, "What do I do until I come up with my next vision of victory?"

"Huh?" Terasaka interjected, "You just fool around, like you did with us today! That's what we're here for!"

"Look at that idiot." Karma commented "Who else could say that with a straight face? Although...Sometimes a few words from an idiot is all you need to chill things out."

I was already bawling my eyes out at this fucking point. It was such a heartwarming moment I just couldn't help myself anymore,

"How sincere!" I exclaimed before crying into my hands.

In the end, Koro Sensei was able to remove the tentacles with multiple pairs of tweezers. The next day at school when I saw Itona the first thing I did was give him the best bear hug in the entire world,

"We're going to be such good friends, Itona-kun!" I exclaimed rubbing my face against his.

"Uh...why are you being so intense..." He asked me awkwardly.

"I'm not!!" I told him happily.

Suddenly I was yanked off him by the collar of my shirt. Of course it was Karma who had done it, because who else would it be?

"Ugh stop being the way you are and leave Itona alone. He already doesn't like you." Karma told me.

I slapped at his hands to let go of my shirt

"Will you stop trying to choke me out with my own damn shirt collar!!" I barked at him.

"Nope..." He said dragging me to my seat.

I sighed in acceptance and let him pull me to my desk, which was only a few inches away from where we just were. He practically threw me into my chair. I looked up at him as he clicked his tongue and shook his head,

"Tsk tsk Y/n, I can't believe you're switching from team Nagisa to team Itona. I didn't peg as that kinda girl..." Karma smirked.

My face heated up to the max,

"W-what?!? It's not like that!! I was just being friendly!!!" I defended.

"Yea, I'll say!" Karma laughed.

"Shut up Shut up Shut up!!!" I yelled at him

And just like that I started off my morning per usual...arguing with Karma... I guess some things will never change. 

Well, maybe...

While Karma and I were having our routine morning arguments, Nagisa approached my desk,

"Uh hey Y/n..." Nagisa said to me.

Just maybe...

Karma and I both stopped in talking immediately, and waited for Nagisa to continue,

this time...

"Uhm...we haven't really hung in a while, and there's this new ice cream place near school...do you maybe wanna go with me..." He asked.

things will be different...

"Y-yes!!"
