||Part 2 Chapter 10!!||

~Previously on 'Second Place'in Chapter 9 Part 2~

Hey Besties I didn't forgot about you! Let's get into it! Basically in the last chapter  Terasaka and his friends took on the task of basically getting Itona to let go of his obsession with powers so they could get rid of his tentacles. Y/n got some special attention from Nagisa and then everything almost went to shit. Itona started lashing out but the Terasaka did this nice little speech and everything was okay. The next day Itona was apart of their class and Y/n took a liking to him so she was trying to get aquainted. Karma pulled her away from him and they started arguing at her desk. While they were arguing Nagisa approuched Y/n and asked her on a date 

||Y/n's P.o.v||

"So uh, Y/n, can we...makeout?" Nagisa asked me.

My face heated up, "M-makeout?? But we just got together, like 5 minutes ago!! Shouldn't we wait?!" I argued. Nagisa chuckled and gave me a heartwarming smile. He then got all close to my face,

"Yea, but I've been wanting to kiss you for a long time now..."

Nagisa grabbed my chin gently and lifted my head up so our eyes met,

"Please...let me kiss you..." He cooed.

My face heated up to the max. Looks like I was just going to have to accept my fate-- Wait, who the hell am I kidding?!?!? I've been waiting to makeout with Nagisa since like last year!!

"O-okay..." I allowed him.

He smiled at me and started leaning in. I closed my eyes as he got closer to my lips, and just as our lips grazed one another--

*Ding Ding*

The last bell of day...I groaned as I slowly lifted my head out of my arms. I looked around and everyone was packing up to leave. I wiped the drool off the side of my mouth and groaned out loud a bit,

'Damnit, I knew it was too good to be true...Nagisa would never kiss on the first date...' I grumbled in my head. I yawned a bit and started packing up my stuff as well. While I was packing up I heard the sound of my sweet Nagisa's voice. He and Maerhara were talking to my new bestie, Itona. I quickly packed up the rest of my shit and made my way over to them. I squeezed my way in between Nagisa and Maehara, and noticed that Itona was working on some kind of toy tank,

"Why you workin on that tank bestie?" I asked leaning over to get a better look.

"Please stop calling me that..." Itona replied, "And I had an all-day cram session with that octopus yesterday. It stressed me out. He really ticked me off...so I'm gonna use this to kill him."

The way Itona said that freaked me out, and Nagisa awkwardly chuckled at Itona's menacing tone. However Itona continued,

"It's like Tersaka's dumb face told me: I can fail a hundred times, no sweat. So I'll go kill him, expecting the worst." He said as he tinkered with his tank.

I smiled happily at rubbed my hand on Itona's head,

"Good for you bestie!! Keep up the good work!" I told him

"Please stop..." I heard him say.

"Wait- Go kill him? You mean..." Nagisa trailed off

"B-but this thing...It's like crazy high tech!" Maehara finished.

I stopped harassing Itona and got a better look at his tank thing, which was still not full assembled,

"Cool!" I exclaimed taking out my phone and snapping a picture.

"Hey don't do that-"

I yawned a bit,

"Okay I'm bored, so I'm gonna go home now." I announced.

I stretched and started walking away from Itona and the others,

"Wait, Y/n, you're going home already?" Nagisa asked me.

My face heated but I quickly got it under control. Then I looked back at him at gave him a smile,

"Of course! School's over after all! See you tomorrow!" I told him before quickly getting out of there.

I couldn't belive he was acting so cool after what happened yesterday. Shouldn't it be obvious why I didn't want to stick around?? I didn't want to stay was because of Nagisa and that stupid date!!

||Flashback||

"Y-yes!!" I exclaimed without a second thought.

Nagisa's face heated up and he avoided my gaze, "Okay cool..." He replied, before walking away from me. As soon as Nagisa was gone Karma started elbowing me in my ribs like he was trying to kill m,

"Look at you Y/n! You're going on a real live date with Nagisa!!" Karma teased.

My face heated up to the max, 

"Hey, no, It's not a date Karma!" 

He held back a laugh, "Then what is it?!?"

"Two friends...just hanging out like good friends should!!" I told him.

Karma busted out laughing, "Yea right! There's no way you actually belive that!!" He pratically cried.

After school was over I carefully packed up my stuff. I was waiting all day for this date! I was totally going to confess...again... to Nagisa! There was literally nothing that could kill my mood, at least that's what I thought. I was a little too nervous to approach Nagisa, so I waited outside on the school steps for him. It took him like 10 minutes to come outside, but when I saw him he looked very upset. I practically jumpped up off the steps, but before I could say anything Nagisa cut me off, 

"Uh, Y/n...I'm really sorry to do this, but I have to cancel..." he grimmaced.

My heart shattered in my chest, 

"W-what? Why?" I asked trying not to sound upset.

"Something came up..." He said.

I could tell he was lying, and so my eyes started watering. I felt kind of betrayed, and Nagisa noticed this, so he tried to approuch me to comfort me, 

"Y/n..." He began.

I turned away from him and wiped my eyes, 

"I'm fine..." I let out a sigh, "It's fine...I'm going home now...alone..." I told him.

||Present||

I shuddered at the thought of that horrible memory. To make that whole situation worse, when I told Karma he offered to hang out with me instead. That freaking jerk, does he not have a heart?!?! Why would I want to hang out with him when I just got...dumped? rejected? plans canceled on? IDK what to call it, but that's just cruel! 

Anyways... I haven't been able to hang around Nagisa for like a week now...How lame can I freaking get?? I should just have a real conversation with him to see what the hell really happened!! Why the hell did it take me a week to get to this conclusion!?!?! I feel like I'm the living the life of a  shoujo manga female protagonist!!!
