I got changed back into my dress and got the twins into their carseats. I sighed as I sat in my driver's seat. I looked at the engagement ring on my finger and debated on taking it off. With the direction this situation is going, I know we're not going to get married. Yeah, it's sad but, I should've known from the beginning. And this is God kicking my ass.

I took it off and put it in my cup holder, than began making my way to the HH for Christmas Eve dinner. I went through a drive thru of a local coffee place since Starbucks and dutch is closed. It took them a while to give it to me but once I got it, I checked the time and realized I was late. I drove to the HH as quickly as I could without speeding, and eventually got to the gate.

I buzzed myself in and drove up the hill, eventually making it to the driveway. I found a spot with the amount of cars that were here and looked at the steering wheel. I sighed as I picked up the engagement ring and looked at it. I didn't want anyone knowing what was happening just yet until I knew for sure, so I just slipped it back on my finger.

I texted Nick to come out and help me with the babies, then got out of the car and began to get Stefan. As I started getting his carseat out of the car, the door opened and Nick began to get Sophia out

Nick: Hey bubs

Y/N: Hey teddy, how are you?

We got them out and I walked to his side, and he kisse dmy cheek

Nick: I'm doing alright. The important question is, how are you?

I had to lie. I couldn't let him know what's going on, and maybe I'm being dramatic, but with the way things have been this past year with him and I, you would do the same thing.

Y/N: I'm ok

Nick: I know when you're lying Y/N. I know you better than anyone, besides your fiance

Maybe not my fiance anymore.

He noticed I ignored it, so he placed his hand on the back of my neck and kissed my forehead, then wrapped his arm around my neck and hugged me

Nick: If you don't want to talk about it, that's fine. It's ok. But I'm here when you're ready

I nodded as we began to walk inside

Nick: I know we've known each other for a year and a half, which is kinda crazy, but I want you to meet someone

Y/N: Ok

I followed him inside, and was immediately greeted by everyone that was able to show up. He eventually took me to the backyard, and I saw a blonde woman, and once she saw me, she got up smiling, and made her way towards us.

Nick: Y/N, this is my mom, Jo Anne. Mom, this is my best friend Y/N

My eyes widened as she hugged me and Nick chuckled

Jo Anne: I'm so happy that I finally got to meet you!

Y/N: Oh, me too!

She pulled away and smiled at me, then looking down at the twins and her face beamed even more than it already was

Jo Anne: Oh my goodness! Are these the little pumpkins!?

I smiled big

Y/N: Yes, this is my son Stefan, and my daughter Sophia

Jo Anne: Oh, they're so adorable!

Y/N: Thank you! I tried!

All three of us laughed

I started to make my way upstairs with the twins to put them down because the house was nice enough to take one of the extra rooms and make a nursery for the babies, including Damon, when they would be over here. And I appreciate and love them a lot for that.

I was able to get them down and grabbed the baby monitor incase they started crying, and began to make my way down the stairs. Before I go back to the crackheads downstairs, I went to walk on to the balcony to mentally prepare myself when I stopped. Tony was there, hugging and talking to a blonde girl. This is probably a red flag that he might be cheating on me but I wasn't about to go out there and cause a scene, especially on Christmas.

So, I just nodded and made my way to the babies nursery, not wanting to interact with anyone. I quietly closed the door behind me and sat in the rocking chair next to Stefan's crib. I looked at my babies and smiled, just to know that I will at least have them in the end, no matter what happens.

I then stared off into space, thinking about how this could all go down hill, even more than it already has, and it made me shed a couple tears, but I pushed the rest back. Maybe it wasn't worth it. 

I sighed as I went on my phone, trying to take my mind off of everything at the moment, but I was interrupted by the door opening. I looked up to see the same blonde girl, and I got so sad, but I didn't express it

???: Oh, I'm sorry. I'm looking for the bathroom

Y/N: Down the hall, take a left

???: Thank you, and again, I'm sorry

Y/N: It's fine

It should be obvious I don't want to be bothered but she can't take a hint with her accent ass

???: It's crazy meeting you, you know?

I lifted an eyebrow, annoyed

Y/N: Huh?

???: Well, you're Y/N Y/L/N and you're famous, but since I'm famous too, I just thought it wouldn't be as crazy but it still is

Um... what?

Y/N: Thanks?

???: Oh, where are my manners? I'm Sarah, but you can call me SJ. I'm a friend of the house

Y/N: Alright...?

I really didn't want to come off as mean, but that's the way I was going judging by the look on her face

SJ: Well, I'll get out of your hair now

Then she left and I groaned slightly as I leaned my head back. Here we fucking go.
