Ryujin POV
"It's almost morning," I noticed, "And it's been awhile, where are we going?"
She filled me in on her life. No friends, no connection and also family problems. That's the sum of it.
"I only have a place in the Misty Palms Oasis. And I hardly stay there too," she mentioned, "Just stay here till they come back." She brushed it off like it was no big deal. Like the Avatar and her gang were nothing to begin with.
"What do you mean 'till they come back'," I asked her, "I need them here now!" It's not that I didn't care about them but I really needed them right now. Especially since I'm forced to stay with this crazy grandma.
"Do you actually care about them," she asked, almost as if she was shaming me.
"I don't care about them. They're just my responsibility. I...they aren't my friends." Saying that felt so uncomfortable on my tongue. Like I was lying.
The walk stayed quiet until we reached her house.
"You can sleep on the couch," she said as she opened the door, "I have a few blankets you can borrow."
As I took off my shoes, she began to set up the couch for me.
"You hungry," she asked, "I know how to make some food. Not good, just enough to survive off of." Something tells me that she doesn't know how to cook.
"No, I'll make something for us instead. What do you have?" When she showed me, it wasn't much but I was able to make do. "This is enough."
I began to make a broth filled with whatever ingredients she had. It was enough to make this spicy soup.
"Is it finished," she asked and I replied with a nod. With the ladle, I scooped up a few and poured it into a bowl.
"Okay, finished," I said and served it to her. I watched as she took the first sip and her eyes began to glow. "Wow, this is the first good thing I've actually had in so long," she sounded so genuine, "Are you going to have some?" I nodded again, "Yea but maybe later."
"Could you tell me about my grandmother?"
I don't know why but once I mentioned her, her mood began to shift. It was like the slight mention of her brought back all bad memories. There had to have been some good ones though, right?
"She was, well...here's what I know. She was a powerful warrior from a distant land. Hoshi came out of nowhere. She was a powerful star that was brought down from the sky, blessing us with her strength. Well that's what I like to believe," she laughed at her silly story. "What Hoshi was to me, she was a friend. My first really true friend but I turned my back on her. All because of power. It's been at least 60 years since I've last seen them all. I don't want to face them." Her head droop down and she broke her gaze with me.
"I don't know her all too well but if you guys were all to reconnect again, they would forgive you," I reassured her, "I'm going to head to sleep. Goodnight...grand aunt." Before I left, I leave with a smile.

"Gosh, what time is it," I asked openly but there was no response. I rose up and checked the note that was left on the coffee table.'Went to buy some greens'
Seems simple enough. I decided to go out as well, to do my own little investigation.
I wrapped my cloak around me and hid half of my face with a mask. Hoping to not look as suspicious than I already am, I hid myself in the shadows, making my way to the Inn. Along the way, I spotted guards looking for me, posting my face on walls. Overall, I was a wanted woman.
