Bucky and I walked side by side as we entered the crowd of armed guards, agents and politicians. Everyone was busy and hustling about. There were bright lights from armored cars reflecting off of the windows of the tall building before us. The air was full of anxious anticipation, waiting for the flag smashers next move.

I looked ahead and up at the building, my movements mirroring Bucky's as we surveyed the crowd of people. He took a step ahead of me moving around a few army men. My eyes moved from the building to admire the way the leather of his suit hugged the curves in his muscular back. I couldn't help but reach my hand out placing it in between Bucky's shoulder blades.

Bucky continued to walk forward but stole a glance behind him. Bucky turned slightly, his face lit up with a small smirk as he looked at me and for a moment the world vanished and it was just us. He shot me a wink before turning back to the world in front of him and as quickly as it vanished it all came back. I couldn't help but smile at the small gesture. I knew that would be our last little moment of peace before the fighting started. I pulled my hand away and lifted it to my ear piece.

"Sam we're here, where are you?" I asked, speaking into my earpiece as Bucky and I moved through a set of guards with AR-15s.

"Sergeant Barnes, Agent Levitsky," the guards nodded to us and I felt a sense of pride as I stood beside Bucky, but he seemed unphased, focused on the mission at hand.

"I'm on my way," Sam said over the piece. Bucky rolled his eyes before focusing back on the busy scene. I took in all the guards, guns and armed cars around us. It didn't seem like anyone was going into the building though. A strange voice pulled me from my thoughts.

"You shouldn't be here.."

Bucky and I turned around ready to tell off the stranger but as I took a step towards him the man began to pick at the skin on his face. An electronic mask shimmered under the bright lights of the trucks and once it was pulled off revealed the face of Sharon.

"Hey Hells, Bucky,"

"About time," I laughed with relief.

"Is that Sharon?" Sam asked sounding almost excited to hear her voice.

"Unfortunately," Bucky said rolling his eyes. I elbowed him in the side as he turned to continue to survey the area.

"You're risking a lot coming here," Sam said in a low tone making me nod. Sharon shrugged making me roll my eyes.

"I heard pardons aren't all their cooped up to be," Sharon smiled at me.

"Depends on the therapist," Bucky said under his breath and I couldn't help but let out a small laugh. Bucky smiled as he looked down at me, sending me another small wink. I couldn't help but smile as I rolled my eyes at him.

The three of us continued looking around the area, looking for flag smashers. There was no sign, it was like everything had paused. It was terrible, waiting for their next move. My eyes followed the agents stalking back and forth in the first floor of the building, I found myself begging them to make a move.

"How we looking down there?" Sam asked.

"No ones moving inside.." Bucky said his eyebrows furrowed together in deep thought as he confused looking at the crowd of armed people.

"What's the plan?" I asked stepping beside Bucky, mirroring his surveying movements.

"Karli has to be close," Sam's voice said over our ear pieces.

I looked up to the top of the building and saw a large pair of wings crash through a higher level window. Quickly I turned to look at Bucky with a look of surprise.
