"does anyone believe that?", y/n asked

"nene senpai overslept"
"anyway let's go", terumi said, "first years in one car, the rest of us in the other. try not to kill each other."
"how were exams, y/n senpai?", kyoko asked
"they were fine", she shrugged, "i didn't study that much. yours?"
"oh, terrible", she groaned, "i'm not ready for the results"
"they'll email them to us right?"
"i'm not gonna open the email", kyoko said with a straight face, "i will live in denial. i will not ruin my day because today i will finally see miya atsumu a.k.a. the love of my life"

the rest of the teammates bickered as y/n became oddly quiet, putting her earphones on and watching the practice clips of her serve. she eventually fell asleep on nene.
a few hours later
"y/n-chan", terumi tapped the side of her head, "wake up-"

she got up and looked around at the hoards of people heading in to watch the match. she finally got off the car and stretched her arms up.
