Ch5: The Revelation

"Oh...My head..." Melody groaned. Her mind was foggy and her body felt like jelly. "What a weird dream..." she groaned, clutching her head. But as her vision adjusted, she discovered that she was not in her room at her house, nor her parents car. She was instead in a beautiful guest room, and on a very big (and actually kinda comfortable) bed.

"What happened?" She asked, sitting up. climbing off the bed, she slipped on her shoes (that were off for some reason), and walked to the door, when a small noise caught her attention. Down on the ground was a small, round, chick looking thing with a tuft of feathers on its head

"Tim!" it said, hopping to her and nuzzling her leg. Melody looked down at it, curious.

"What are you?" She asked, picking the thing up, as soon as she did, more of them came into the room. Some of them had cat, bear, or bunny ears, but they all hopped around her, gently nudging her legs out of the room

"O...k..." Without any idea of what she was doing or where she was going, she followed them out of the room, and into a hallway. Walking through, she had this nervous feeling in her stomach, like something was going to happen. At the end of the hallway was a large and very elaborate wooded door. One of the chick thing, nudged it open and went inside. Melody could hear it chirping about something...until she heard a deep voice say "Thank you my little friend, It is now time for me to do my end." Melody's eyes widened, that was the voice she heard from that...thing before she passed out.

'Oh no!!! I've gotta get out of here!!' She thought, backing away from the door, until some unknown force pulled her forward into the door and flat on her face.

"Ow..That's gonna leave a mark..." Melody groaned. Her vision blurry. When her vision adjusted, she could see that tall, lanky humanoid smiling down at her, as well as more of those chick looking thing.

"Oh thank goodness you are awake. I was afraid of desperate measures I would have to take." He said. Melody's eyes widened as she scurried backwards on the ground

"Y-YOU STAY AWAY FROM ME!!!! I-I'M WARNING YOU!!!!! I KNOW JIU-JITSU!!!" Melody yelled, reaching for her back pocket for a can of pepper spray she always kept on hand "AND I ALSO HAVE...a flower?!" She said in shock. True to what she said, The pepper spray in her pocket had transformed into a beautiful red rose...that the lanky thing graciously took

"A rose for me? How sweet! How kind! And here you were panicking out of your mind." The lanky thing teased, putting the rose in a nearby vase. Melody blinked, but she shook her head.

"OK listen...I don't know who you are, or WHAT you are...but if you're looking for like ransom money...or a different ransom...or are looking for something else-" she was cut of by the lanky thing shaking his head with a chuckle

"Goodness your brother was right, you really do think about every plight"

Melody's eyes widened at that remark "FINN!!! WHERE IS HE?! IS THIS WHERE THE RANSOM COMES IN?!?!" Melody panicked. The lanky thing looked amused

"Ransom? Well that's a new thought, and that isn't even part of the plot" he said

Melody narrowed her eyes "What plot? A KIDNAPPING PLOT?!" Melody yelled as the thing shook his head "No No!! Not in this case. Not in the theater where the show is taking place."

"Show? What show? Melody asked as his smile grew wider. "A show adored and experienced by all, near and far...and with you taking center stage as our star."

Melody's eyes shrank "Me? The star?" She asked...and then started laughing "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I get it, this is one of those prank shows on TV, the kind that makes people look like idiots!" she laughed "OK THE JIG IS UP, YOU CAN SHOW YOURSELVES NOW, WHERE ARE THE CAMERAS," She yelled, looking around the room for the hidden 'cameras'. The lanky man looked confused

"How curious, a joke you say...well tell me then how to make this go away?" He asked, snapping his fingers. Suddenly, Melody felt the urge to sing her heart out. Slapping a hand to her mouth, she tried to shut herself up, but it was no good, she lost all control of her mouth and voice and was forced to sing.

"Oh my, is this an opportunity ringing?" He taunted "Something tells me, you want to stop singing" Melody nodded her head, eyes pleading for him to make it stop. He snapped his fingers, and Melody stopped. Melody fell to her knees

"What...The heck...just happened?" Melody question. The lanky thing walked up to her and put a finger under her chin "The answer my dear I can explain: what happened was magic, pure and plain." He said. Melody scurried backwards from him "Ok...so it was magic..." Melody said. Not believing her own words. "Good! Now that we're on the same page...do you think that you can please follow me to the stage?" The lanky thing asked. Melody took a few steps back "WHAT?! Umm...no thanks, I think the rain stopped, an I gotta go now..." she said, walking backwards, looking down at her feet.

"Oh I insist! A show for a show! Only fair to repay the performance you gave you know." He said slinging an arm over her shoulder. 'WHAT performance??' Melody though, until she remembered when she was singing for Finn, and the auditorium was filled with that odd audience. Melody didn't get more time to think about it as she was pushed at warp speed out of the room, down the same hallway and into the auditorium again, with her screams and the lanky things laughter echoing around them. Finally stopping, the lanky man finally let go of Melody, but not without spinning her around at a dizzying speed. The thing picked her up and set her down as he cleared and cleaned the room until he stopped in the center, holding his fingers

"It Brings me great joy to my heart...for me to announce that it's time for the show to start!

He said with a snap of his fingers. When he did, the lights dimmed, spotlight lit up and he was center stage...
