Chapter 15

I finally did it. I finished the song I wrote. Wow, that's the fastest I've ever written. Probably because the feeling came to me recently. I hear a knock on the door before Willie walks in.

"Hey, Caleb thinks that the boys will be back tonight. Do you think you'll be ready by then?" He asks.

"Yeah, I think so." I say.

"Awesome! I'd probably start getting ready now, in case they show up early."

"Got it. Thanks."

"No problem. I think Caleb will come get you when he's ready."

"Great. So I'll see you at the performance?"

"Yep, see you then!" He walks out as I sigh. I don't think I can do this. What if they don't recognize me? What if they already know about the club? I mean, yeah, they've been here. But the sacrifices needed to stay in it. Oh gosh, I'm overreacting again! They won't get stamped. They won't get stamped. They won't get stamped.

"You ready to go, rockstar?" Caleb asks. Oh gosh, him asking that makes me want to throw up.

"Already?" I ask.

"Yeah, they showed up earlier than we planned. But you have your song prepared, right?" He asks as he gives an evil glare.

"Y-Yes sir." I say.

"Excellent! I'll go get the crowd excited while they wait." He teleports out. I run to my dresser and grab the first dress I see. I start curling my hair as fast as possible. After five-ish minutes, I get makeup on and run out the door. Before I go on stage, Willie grabs me.

"Hey, just remember, I think you're a super star. You got this! They will be proud of you. And they will know that their band member is shining on that stage!" He says.

"Thanks Will." I say.

"And now, for the grand finale of tonight.... My lead singer will be singing her first solo! Let me introduce... Emma Patterson!" I teleport on stage and grab the microphone. My whole body feels like it's going to explode.

"Umm, Hi. I'm Emma. And I'm going to sing my original song 'Invisible Ghost.'" The music starts playing as I take a deep breath. Here we go...

It's been a few years since I was gone

But it feels like it's been forever

I guess it must have been better

The crowd goes wild as I take a bow and teleport off. I don't know how they're going to react. But I'm kind of scared to see it. Is it even worth going back to them? What if they moved on? What if they have a new member that replaced me?

A/N: Hey everyone! Fun fact... this song was written by me! So yes, that's why it's so bad. But hopefully it gives off the idea of the song/story (and purpose of the title). Anyways, I'll be updating hopefully soon!
