Atreus' POV

"How do you know we can trust her?" My mother asked my sister and I.

We were in my father's office trying to come up with a plan. This was the only free time she had gotten since our revelation that allowed her to meet us here.

"We don't have much of another choice mother." Vera answered from her seat behind my father's desk. He was in a meeting right now so it was only us.

"This is our best chance at finding the source all we have to do is ask her and if she can't do it then we can try to hack him again." I said, trying to reason with her.

"Those walls would take days to hack and that would only alert him or his source and they'll just add more." Vera corrected.

"The PC's that all went to waste says otherwise. They don't just add more but corrupt the entire system." My mother said, exasperated.

"Have you contacted her at least?" She asked us, running her hands through her hair in frustration.

"No-" I'm cut off short by a knock on the door.

"Come in." I said to whoever it was.

My assistant stuck his head through the small crack of the open door, "Sorry to disturb but I think you have a client here to see you sir."

"Okay, I'm coming." I said to him, standing from my seat.

"No need to leave Castro, I'm here to see all of you." Dariya said walking into the office. What was she doing here?

"Speak of the devil." Vera said smirking at her.

I took in her outfit that always seem to drastically change every time I see her.

She wore a fine pressed white silk shirt, few buttons at the top undone showing off her slightly toned chest. It was tucked in to a pair of black trousers.

"You speak about me? I hope you tell them only the worst." She said, gracefully sitting in a chair in front my father's desk, only a small distance away from where I stood.

I could a hint of her sweet but mellow scent of lavender. She didn't seem to ever wear perfume but always had that same scent.

"Of course I do." Vera answered.

"Why are you here Dariya?" I asked her as she got comfortable in the chair.

"I thought you would at least be happy to see me." She said, cocking a perfectly groomed brow at me.

"Castro." She said in greeting, looking to my mother who sat quietly in the settee on the far side of the office.

"Verlice."

"Well don't let my presence stop you." She gestured for us to continue, eyes scanning the interior of the office.

"We need your help Dariya." I started feeling the warning glare from my mother but completely ignoring it.

My mother may seem scary but she was as harmless as a teddy bear. That didn't mean I took advantage of that but we needed all the help we could get even if she didn't like it.
