Chapter 44. Pay back Part 2

Zachariel's P.O.V

I threw a glass of water on Andrew's face when he didn't show any sign of waking up. Andrew woke up startled. He looked in a daze around, then asked me, "Where am I, Zach?" Alexei huffed, then asked me, "Should I punch him again, Zachariel? I'm sure that everything will come flooding back to him once he feels the excruciating pain." I shook my head, then said to Alexei, "Ask your bodyguards to escort Zavier to the room, Alexei. We shouldn't keep the lovers apart for too long." One of Alexei's bodyguards grabbed Andrew by the collar, then pushed him on a chair. I clutched my mother's hand, then said, "You guys shouldn't be here, mom. Go home. I'll see you guys later."

My father put his hands in his pockets, then asked me, "Is this the guy who betrayed you, Patrizio? It's hard to recognize him with all the blood on his face. I had heard many great things about Andrew Waltz before. He doesn't seem special at all to me." I nodded, then answered my father with, "You are right, dad. Andrew is just a piece of trash. He and I have many things to discuss. It will only bore you guys if you stay here." My mother stroked my back, then asked me, "Why are you so adamant about making us leave, Patrizio?" I rubbed my face in frustration, then replied to my mother with, "Because I'm hundred percent sure that you guys won't like this side of me, mom."

My mother looked in shock at me. She took a seat next to me, then said, "Your father and I are in no position to judge you, Patrizio. You practically raised yourself. We understand that you had to do anything in your power to survive. The whole family will love you no matter what crime you commit, my son." I breathed a sigh of relief when I realized that my parents had my back. I smiled at my mother, then uttered, "Thank you for your support, mom. You guys can stay, but you are not allowed to meddle." My father took a seat, then stated, "You won't even notice that we are here, son." I got startled when Andrew suddenly yelled, "Please, stop with the cheesy family drama. I want to go back to Chicago." Cash walked into the room with Zavier just when I was about to reply to Andrew. Zavier gasped when he noticed Alexei.

He scowled at Alexei, then asked him, "Why did you ask your men to kidnap me, Alexei?" Alexei smirked, then responded to Zavier with, "Do you remember the deal that we made a month ago, Zavier?" Zavier nodded at Alexei. Alexei chuckled, then declared, "It's revenge time, fool." I grabbed Alexei's hand, then asked him, "Did you bring the documents that I asked for with you, Alexei?" Alexei took a seat, then answered me with, "Yes, Zachariel. It's in the car. Cash will get them for you in a minute." Cash made Zavier sit next to Andrew then walked out of the room. I frowned when I heard Zavier ask Andrew, "You couldn't keep your mouth shut, huh, Andrew? You're useless. You love to drag people down with you whenever you're in trouble." Andrew scowled, then yelled, "Shut the hell up, Zavier! You are as guilty as I am. I would have never been in this situation if you had kept an eye on Zach as I requested. You told me that Zach was vulnerable. Look at him. Does he look vulnerable to you?"

I clapped my hands, then stated, "Come on, now, boys. The spotlight should be on me and not on you guys." Zavier frowned then asked me, "Why did you let them bring me to my rival's restaurant, Zach? I hate this place." I laughed, then responded to Zavier with, "This restaurant belongs to my mother, Zavier. My mother named it after me to show me affection." Zavier gasped, then asked me, "Caterina Malachi is your mother, Zach?" I nodded, then uttered while motioning towards my parents, "Meet my parents Caterina and Giovanni Malachi, Zavier." Zavier bowed his head, then stated, "It's nice to meet you, sir, ma'am. I'm Zach's loyal friend, Zavier. I took care of him when no one would. I'm also an orphan. I hope that you will treat me like a member of your family in the future." My parents looked in awe at Zavier. They probably couldn't believe what a smooth talker Zavier was. My father laughed, then said, "My family will show you kindness by paying for your funeral, Zavier."
