Matthias POV

I rolled my eyes and watched Nex leave the room. James and I are always the cleaning crew, and Nex always tells us what to do. I'm not complaining at all, or at least I shouldn't be. Nex had blackmailed both James and I to be here.

James should be at home with his wife and his three year old daughter, but instead he was stuck here scrubbing blood from the floor, all because Nex had threatened to kill his family. I had no idea at first if Nex was even capable of doing that, but now I have seen all the bad things he had done.

"What?" I looked over at James who had said something, but I was too busy thinking to pay attention to anything he had been saying.

"I said, what if we just escaped, ran away. I could get my family out and take them-"

"No." I threw my bloody sponge back into the bucket of now dirty water. "We've had this talk before, he'll find us and kill us, and besides you shouldn't be talking like that. It'll only get your hopes up or even get you killed."

James's mouth pressed into a very thin line as he got back to work. I stared at him for a moment before taking a deep breath and taking the sponge back out of the bucket.

I was only telling James that so he wouldn't go and leave me here. Of course I could go with him, but I needed to stay here. I even enjoyed it here. I couldn't possibly leave. I had done some bad things before Nex brought me here. If I had gone back out into public, I would have been immediately taken into the authorities and locked up for the rest of my life.

"We should probably take the bodies out back now, and then scrub the rest of the floor after." James said, as he stood up and walked over to the little boy.

"We'll take the two older kids, but leave the little boy." I said. "Nex will want to check on him in the morning."

"Yeah ok." James walked over to the older boy and picked him up.

I followed right behind him and picked up the girl. We both walked out into the hallway, not caring about the blood that was dripping off of the teenagers, and walked to the front door. Once at the door, James placed the boy down and took the key from his pocket and used it to open the front door. We then took them both around to the back of the house and threw them down onto the dirt ground.

We picked up the two shovels that were leaning against the house and started digging the graves.
