Everyone started congratulating us without even confirming if it was true or not. And Taehyung was enjoying and even thanking them for their good wishes. I glared at him in bafflement. How could he enjoy such a misunderstanding and Misha after dropping this atom bomb was having food unbothered by what was happening here. I stomped on her foot to bring her attention back from food.

" Ouch,... Krisha." She glared at me innocently and I shook my head hopelessly.

How can she act so innocently after dropping a bomb on her best friend?

"I already knew our boy is in love from the way he was acting during the trip after returning from Kisa's home." Jimin teased him and Taehyung blushed.

"I cannot give my daughter's hand in your hand Taetae," Jin said pouting and crossing his arms across his chest.

"Why Jin? I bet that your daughter won't get a better groom than me. I am perfect for her" Taehyung said in a serious tone.

I looked at both of them in confusion. They were arguing about a relationship that doesn't even exist.

"Taehyung, I am really happy for you as Namjoon but as RM I want to say that you've gone too far breaking the rules of the company. I don't know how I am going to save you this time. Have you forgotten the contract that we had signed that we won't date anyone till we disband?"

This brought silence to the room. There was anxiety clear in everyone's face, except Taehyung. He was so calm and how couldn't he be, after all, he knew that he is not dating but then why wasn't he telling the truth, his this attitude was driving me crazy.

"Don't worry. We aren't dating. Misha was joking and Taehyung played along. He isn't breaking any law." I tried to defend him which made namjoon's shoulders relaxed.

"Why don't you speak the truth." I tilted my head towards Taehyung and whispered.

" Because I don't want to." He replied nonchalantly.

There was a small moment of an uncomfortable silence before Misha gave a long sigh.

I glared at her and prayed to God  not to let her speak anything nonsense now.

"I feel sad for Addy." She said while stirring the chicken gravy with a spoon.

"Now from where does, this Addy came into the picture," I said in irritation.

Addy or I should say Adirath Malhotra was my classmate in India. He was the topper of the class. And he had a crush on me. He was a very sweet guy and cared for me a lot. Once I got ill and was admitted to the hospital and my parents were also not there to take care of me as they had gone to attend the wedding of my father's friend's daughter.

He and Misha were the only ones who stayed there and took care of me. Some medicine was not even available in that hospital's chemist shop and he literally searched for that medicine everywhere. From that day since I always felt that I owe him but then a week before I had to come to Korea, he proposed to me. I was flabbergasted. I liked him a lot but only as a friend. I couldn't even romantically think of him. I wanted to say no but I didn't want to hurt him too. So I did something that I shouldn't have done. I ignored him and blocked him from all my social media account. I destroyed all the roads that might have led him to me. I still feel guilty about that. I didn't want to do all this to him but I also didn't know how to deal with it. I couldn't just say yes to him because I owe him, that would have meant disrespecting his feelings.

Addy's name resurfaced the guilt that I had buried deep in my heart.

"You know that he loves you a lot. He is waiting for your answer to his proposal till today. I told him to forget you and move forward but he is still stuck on the same page. He says, you were his once in a lifetime love and there is no way which can turn his life better without you." She said making me all guilty once again.
