I could feel my sweat dripping from my face as she said this.

"You won't mind me asking you some questions."

I nervously nodded with the hope that I could answer her every question.

"Do you love him....?"

I looked at her with a confused expression. Wasn't it obvious that I loved him or did I do something that made her uncertain about my love?

"I mean to say that do you vow to stay with him no matter what happens. It's easy to fall in love but very difficult to be in love. My son had struggled a lot since his childhood days. He wasn't born with the silver spoon. We were poor and couldn't afford luxuries for him. He had to share everything with his siblings, there is nothing that is truly his own. We couldn't afford a luxury for him." She had tears in her eyes and I had no idea what to do. I was just listening to her words.

"He had no real friends back them, many people made fun of him without any apparent reason. He didn't show but he felt bad. Who won't feel bad? His glorious teenage years were spent earning money; he and his group struggled many years before they reached here at this position. They worked hard, pushed themselves harder. It is not just the work of his destiny but also his hard work. On this journey, he lost so many things, not once did he complained to us. He pulls himself every day just for us and now when he has got his happiness, I don't want it to vanish. He will break into pieces Kisa, my child. So Kisa, will you promise me that you will protect my vulnerable Taehyung and won't leave him no matter what happens."

I didn't realize that my cheeks were now stained with tears.

I took her hands in mine.

"I love your son and I will never leave his side. I will never let him break and this is my promise to you."

Her smile returned as she pecked my forehead and told me to stay there and vanished through the door. She returned after few minutes with a bag and handed it to me.

"What is it?" I asked taking the brown packet.

"Taehyung told me to give you this and also told me to let you know that he wants you to wear it today."

I opened the packet and found a beautiful white gown with pink embroidered borders. It was beautiful but I was unaware of the occasion.

"Did he tell you why I need to wear it?" I asked.

"Surprise" She winked at me and walked towards the door.

"Taehyung is waiting for you in the verandah."

Saying this she vanished again.

"Another surprise." I groaned and stood in front of the mirror with that dress.

I must say, he is really good at deciding dresses.

I wore that dress and did a little touch-up with everything I had.

Then I ran downstairs and headed towards the verandah.

My heart was pounding like it would jump out any moment.

My breath hitched as I looked at the man in front of me in a white coat and pants with a red rose in his hand.

His eyes shone as he walked towards me. He held his hand out as he stood in front of me which I gladly accepted. His other hand held the magnificent yet modest Rose which he offered me and I took it happily. I didn't know what was happening but whatever was going on I just felt at blissful peace.

We walked a small distance in the twilight as we reached a small green land near the pond which was glittering with fireflies. It was a sight to see. It felt as if stars had descended on earth celebrating our love.

"It is beautiful," I said and smiled at him.

"I have many memories with this place. It is very special to me. I used to come here with my grandma and she used to tell me stories of prince and princess here. Once she told me the story of a beast and how a princess turned him into a prince with her love. That day I had insisted her to find me a princess but she told me to wait as my princess is not ready to meet me yet. I had promised her that I'll bring my princess here when she'll come to me. And today I am fulfilling my promise."

My heart melted listening to his story. Do I really deserve such a gentleman?

Suddenly he sat on one knee and took out a small box and opened it.

I gasped seeing a small round ring with a small diamond on top of it.

"My beloved Kisa, I don't have the correct words to describe my feelings for you. I never thought that I would ever be in love but you made impossible thing possible. I cannot imagine my life without you. I don't believe in a long-distance relationship. I want to see your face foremost when I open my eyes and I want to see you before closing my eyes. I want to cover this long-distance holding your hand. I want to kiss your hand when it gets old and wrinkled and I want you to hold me when I couldn't walk without a stick. This ring was given to my mother by her mother in law and now she wants it to be given to her daughter-in-law. So Kisa will you give me the honor of spending my entire life in your embrace, will you marry me?"

I was dumbfounded. This was the second time that I couldn't believe my ears. I pinched my arms to confirm that it was indeed a reality and not a mirage.

I wasn't hallucinating. Every word he spoke was true.

The world suddenly seemed to brighten up though it was seven in the evening.

"Kisa, my knee is hurting speak up fast."

It brought me back to the beautiful reality.

"But I am going back...."

"Only to return to me." He interjected.

"You will surely return to me Kisa and this time forever we'll be together." He said and my heart melted.

"Do you promise?" I asked though there was no need for words anymore.

"I promise sweetheart."

Saying that my finger got adorned with the beautiful ring.
