-A Silent Lily- (A BoTW Fanfic)

~'Chapter 16'~ *ENDING*

Link slowly manages to open his eyes, his vision blurry but he manages to make out the bedframe of princess Zelda's bed. He groans as he rubs his eyes to help regain his sight, feeling a sting of discomfort over his stomach as he stretches his arms up. "Oh you're awake..!" Link hears Sidon say next to him. Link moves away his hands from his eyes to look over at Sidon, who's sitting right next to him on a chair beside the bed. Link gives him a soft smile "So... I did it.." He says softly, not much louder than a whisper. "You did! And you were amazing" Sidon smiles brightly at him as he grabs Link's hand and squeezes it. Link giggles tiredly at him, hugging his hand. "What-... What happened after I passed out..?" He asks, looking at Sidon with curiousity.

"Well.. Once you passed out our first priority was to stop the bleeding. While I healed you we could see the malice everywhere around us slowly dissapear, and when we were walking out of the fort we could see all the monsters and malice turn to nothing. The world should almost be completely rid of it by now!" Sidon explains with a cheerful smile plastered on his face. Link slowly sits up on the bed to get a look out the window and he feels a burden as heavy as a boulder fall off his chest when he sees the bright green trees and fields. No trace of malice as far as he could see.

He looks back at Sidon, who's looking at him with a soft look on his face. Link's smile quickly dissapears when he remembers what he and Zelda talked about before. The marriage. It has to be done, for the better of Hyrule. "S-Sidon I-" Link starts but quickly gets hushed by Sidon. "I know. Zelda told me all about it while you were asleep.." He says, trying to hide the sadness with a smile. "I-I understand, it's important for Hyrule. I-if you don't want us to meet anymore it's fin-" Sidon rambles, but doesn't get much further before Link wraps his arms around him and presses their lips together. "Don't say that ever again. I don't have Zelda's heart and she doesn't have mine.. What we have does not change, you got me?" Link says sternly while still holding onto Sidon's shoulders. Sidon with his cheeks bright blue only manages to nod. "O-... Ofcourse-" he stutters out. Link smiles at him. "Good, now let's go and see the others alright?"

**EPILOGUE**

Link and Zelda stands by the window, watching the habitants of Hyrule leave the castle after the wedding ceremony. "So.. How does it feel to be married to the king of Hyrule..?" Link says, glancing over at Zelda who giggles. "Absolutely wonderful, I know you'll be just as good as king as you were as a guard." She says with a warm smile. The two hylians's conversation gets quickly abrupted by a rock hitting the window they're standing by. Both Zelda and Link jumps in surprise as they look around for the origin of the rock. Right outside stands noone else but Riju herself, waving excitedly at Zelda. Zelda looks at her and giggles before her eyes quickly darts back to Link. "You don't mind if I go and meet her, do you?" She asks. "Ofcourse not, I'm planning to go and meet someone certain too" Link smiles and they share a tight hug before Zelda hurries off and out to meet Riju.

Link decides to not change from the white suit and cape that the servants had chosen for him, and barely bothers to tack up Epona more than a bridle. he watches the sun set as Epona walks upon the blue concrete of one of Zora river's many bridges. Nature haven't been this beautiful for so long Link had almost forgotten what it's like to see a sky not turning red once the sun sets. As he's watching the scenery he notices a red Zora sitting by the lake right under Zora's domain. "Ah, there he is." He mumbles to himself as he sets Epona off in a trot down the trail that leads to the riverside.

Sidon turns around when he hears the clappering of Epona's hooves against the dirt and rocks, and gives Link a bright smile. "Oh my, you look like a prince right out of a fairytale" He says as he quickly gets on his feet to walk up and greet Link who jumps off of Epona's back. Link can feel his cheeks turn red as he looks away "T-...Thank you-" He murmurs, feeling flattered. Sidon giggles as he kneels down to gives Link's cheek a quick kiss. Link smiles up at him, resting his head on Sidon's shoulder

At last.
Everything was alright.

(A/N: Aaaand roll the credits! Holy cow that was the end of the fanfic I've been struggling to complete for idek how long. I started it in 7th/8th grade and now I just finished my first year of high school. Idk which of the original readers are still here but if you are thank you so so much! This story have been both a blast and a huge struggle to write but now I at last have managed to finish it. I am so grateful for all the reads I've gotten throughout the years and that's what have inspired me to finish this story!
