-A Silent Lily- (A BoTW Fanfic)

~'Chapter 3'~

Everything around him is so blurry. Sidon tries to focus his eyes on anything he manages to see around him, but his vision remains as unfocused as ever. He feels the cold stone under him, stroking his hands over the ground to give him a hint to where he is. He groans quietly as he rubs the back of his head, seeing how his white palm gets all blue from blood. Slowly but surely his sight gets good enough so he can see the Hylian next to him, he has no idea how he didn't see him before but that doesn't matter. What matters is that a Hylian is way to close to him when he's in this vulnerable state. The rising sun shining into the opening of the cave makes only the contours of the Hyrulian visible for Sidon. Sidon looks down, seeing the dagger the Hylian has pointed at him, hunching down to be prepared to flee.  Sidon snaps back as he growls comes bubbling up from deep in his throat. His pupils narroms even further as he shows his teeth to the unknown Hylian, hoping he'll look threatening enough for it to flee. The Hylian furtonunately backs off, turning his back towards Sidon to fix something by the fireplace it had set up. 

Sidon tries to rise up but the sharp pain in his leg prevents him and the headache almost makes him faint again as he thuds back on the cave ground. Once he looks back he gets met by a torch in his face, he snaps his head back as he lets out a shocked hiss. He looks up up at the Hylian, and the aggression in his face dissapears in almost a second. He remembers those bright blue eyes, the dirty blonde hair and the pointy ears. "L-... Link-?" Sidon stutters out, noticing the confused look at the Hylian. 'He reacted to the name' Sidon thinks as he feels like a huge rock rolls off his chest, he feels the tears brimming in his eyes. Link clearly didn't remember him, and Sidon didn't judge him. It have been 100 years, you most likely forget alot during that time. Sidon smiles at him, his teeth doing the stereotypical glimmer, and he sees to his happiness that Link's ears points. 

Link just stares at Sidon for some time, like he's going through a trans. Even if Link's eyes are focused on Sidon Link's consciousness is somewhere else. Sidon slowly reaches out his hand to poke Link but Link snaps back into this world, startling Sidon as he gasps and pulls back his hand. Link slowly reaches out his hands, stroking them over Sidon's cheeks. Sidon smiles faintly, laying his hands over Link's. They just sit there and looks at eachother, not wanting to look away from the other's eyes. Sidon gives out a small chuckle, trying to blink away the tears but feels soon them running down his cheeks. Link slides his arms from Sidon's cheeks down to his neck, wrapping his arms around Sidon and hugging him tightly. Sidon quickly pulls Link into a close hug, not even trying to hold back the tears anymore. Even if the dagger's still in Link's belt Sidon knew that he wouldn't use it on him, a feeling he haven't felt for years gushes out over him. Trust. He trusts Link. Sidon's not quite sure why, as he have killed countless Zoras in the past, but yet something in him tells him to trust Link. Like everything will be okay if he does. 

Once both's tears have stopped they let go of eachother, Link walks up behind Sidon, carefully running his hands over Sidon's head. Sidon lets out a pained hiss as Link touches the fin on his head. "Wh-.." Sidon stutters out as he raises his own hands to take a feel on his fin. The sharp fin on his head is broken in half as Sidon runs his finger in the space between the two chunks. It reminds him as if someone had cut it in half on purpose but he reassures himself that it was the sharp rocks that split it up. Link loosens the bandage over one of his arms, revealing scars from both past battles and time scars from 100 years of sleep. He takes his bandage and wraps it around Sidon's fin, forcing the two halves together again. Sidon whines in pain as Link tightens the bandage. 

Once the bandage is tightened Link sets himself down in front of Sidon. He points at the scars on Sidon's face and body in a confused manner. Sidon follows where his finger is pointing, sighing lightly. "They're mostly from when I've gotten caught stealing but uhh... Mostly from-... Hyrulians, even when I'm not stealing they attack whenever they see us too close to their territory" Sidon explains, continuing with "I can't blame them though, I mean they got no reason to trust us". Link nods understandingly, and just as Sidon is about to continue telling a blowhorn can be heard echoing through the cave walls, and many other blowhorns comes after like an echo the the primary one. "It's the pigmonsters! They-.. They're out for me..!" Sidon says. He manages to get up on his feet, but he feels how incredibly weak they are but that doesn't matter. All that matters now is to keep Link safe. "Link, stay here okay? I'll have to go" He explains but Link shakes his head.

Sidon didn't have any time to argue as he hears a goblin's loud screech could be heard behind them. Sidon turns around to see an army of goblins by the entrance. Link takes out his bow, laying a ice arrow on the string and shoots it at the goblins who's feet turn into ice. Link signals to Sidon to flee, and even if he doesn't want to leave Link here he knows he's not able to fight nd won't do any good so he manages to get by the pigmonsters with just minor scratches. He jumps into the water and swims as fast as he could.

Link gets prepared to fight the goblins, but as all their feet loosens from the icey ground at once he gets mauled by them. There's just too many to fight at once, he hits his sword around like a madman, managing to kill some but not all as a goblin hits him in the head. He screams out in pain as the only noise his ears can take in are incredibly high beep. Neverending, almost making him insane by just litsening to it for some seconds before he collapses on the ground and the world around him fades to black.
