"There he is!" A sharp voice rings out from behind him. Sidon quickly turns around, the light from the lit torch blinds him as he hisses quietly. In front of him stands a rather short Hylian, not reaching further up than his waist but with a sharp spear pointing up at his neck. Behind him stands 15 pigmonsters, their tiny white eyes glowing in the darkness surrounding them. Sidon gulps quietly, feeling how his heartbeats raises from every second that passes. He backs away from the barrels of fish he was on his way to dump into the dark water where his dear Zoras are still waiting for him, prepared to catch the barrels. Sidon glances at the barrels, earning many angered screeches and grunts from the pigmonsters behind the Hylian, but the young man quickly quiets the crowd as he approaches Sidon. "What a pity.. Now you'll see your people slowly die, one by one... Joining you in wherever monsters like you end up once your filthy life here is done" The hylian spits out, having a look of deep and unlimited hatred in his eyes and Sidon glimpses a little smirk spreading over the hylian's face. Sidon takes a deep breath and plasters a face of fake confidence on himself, smirking lightly and looks at him confidently. "I'm at least loyal to my species. Unlike you, you filthy betraying bastard" Sidon growls as he swiftly kicks the barrels with full force, making them stumble down the edge of the cliff and crash into the water where Sidon prays the Zoras had been as he leaps away from the hylian's forceful stab with his spear. Sidon kicks off with immediate speed, making the dust and ashes from the torches blow up into a cloud behind him. He can hear the pigmonster's angry grunts behind him and he tries to find a way out in pure panic, he can barely see so the boxes and tents that all of a sudden emerged from the pitch black darkness was close again and again to be his demise, making him trip over them and slowing him down. Sidon hopelessly looks around for something, anything to save him now.
Sidon can almost feel the pigmonster's breath in his neck when his eyes locks on a high tower, towering above all other and just by the edge of the cliff. 'It's either that or being goblin food' Sidon thinks to himself as he throws himself at the ladder, climbing the fastest his tired arms and legs can bare. The pigmonsters and goblins runs over each other to get up on the ladder first, almost killing each other in the process. Sidon gasps as he feels a cold and hard hand wrap around his ankle. He looks down to meet the terrifying face of a goblin staring back at him, it's pure white eyes staring into his soul and it's mouth gapes wide open like it could swallow him whole. Sidon uses his other leg to kick the goblin in the face and he quickly climbs up the rest of the ladder. Sidon leans over the edge of the tower. Now or never. Now or never. He takes a deep breath and does a silent pray as he leaps out from the edge of the tower, not noticing the snare that snaps around his foot when he jumps off the ledge until it's too late. He huffs from the snare stopping his fall as he bends upwards and grabs it. He can feel how the goblins grab the snare and starts heaving him up like a wild animal caught in a trap. Sidon snatches the dagger from his belt and starts to cut like his life depends on it, because it actually did. The snare cut loose string after string, Sidon cutting with all his might as his foot would soon be back on the edge of the mighty watchtower. Sidon screams out as he cut off the last piece of the thick snare and he feels the wind blowing behind his back and how the goblins on the tower peeking down got smaller and smaller.
Suddenly, Sidon came to a terrible realization. There's no water directly under the cliff. Sidon tries his best to reach out for the water but a indescribable pain rushes from the back of his head and spreads like a disease all over his body. The paralyzing pain makes him scream in pure agony as he sees a thousand stars shimmer before his eyes as he can barely move his body without clenching his teeth in pain. The world around him slowly fades away as he hears the Zoras' terrified screams and the goblins' grunts and screeches less and less. He prays that his dear sister, Mipha takes the Zoras back to their domain safely, and not risking her life for him. He gives out a small smile as he feels tears start to form in his eyes at the thought of his people and sister before the entire world fades to black.
