~'Chapter 5'~

"Come on, get your mind off it" One of the Hylian guards gently nudged Link's shoulder, catching him on staring out in the distance with a sad expression again. Link looks at the guard before lightly shaking his head, the guard lets out a small sigh "Do you feel bad?" He asks. Link's cheeks turns ever so slightly red in embarrassment and he nods slowly as he looks away. "Don't you worry, this'll maybe teach them to not hurt any of our kind. And if they don't it's their problem" The guard chuckles through his bushy, brown beard before he looks head-on once again. Link sighs softly, he wants to tell them all about what actually happened, what their intentions about stealing actually are but just like he've always done before, he stayed silent. He didn't notice how Zelda looks at him with a troubled face, she takes a deep breath before she orders out "Guards, go back to the castle. I need to speak to Link privately". the guards nods understandingly as their horses set off over the hills, leaving Zelda and Link on their horses alone in the woods. 

Zelda's horse hurries off in a steady trot, and Link lets Epona follow with thousands of questions swirling around like a bee swarm inside his head. After just a small moment Zelda stops her horse and elegantly jumps off. They're now standing on top of a hill with tall grass surrounding them. "Do... You remember this place, Link?" Zelda asks, Link gets off Epona and looks around on the hill. The fact that he doesn't remember pains him greatly, and Zelda quickly takes notice of his troubled expression and gives out a small sigh. "Link.. Come here" She says as she sits down by a tree just in the middle of the hill. Link sits down unsurely and looks questioning at Zelda. "Just... Close your eyes, and try to remember" She says softly. Link takes a deep breath and slowly closes his eyes.

"Link, watch out!" Link feels a sharp pain in the center of his face and he opens his eyes in shock with a shocked grunt. He looks down at the quite sharp rock that's now laying harmlessly in his lap. "Sorry, my apologies" Mipha says, clearly embarrassed as she picks up the rock from Link's lap. Link smiles forgivingly before Mipha sat down in front of him. Link looks over to his side tiredly, where he can see Zelda with her long blonde hair swaying in the wind. She looks back at him and smiles. "Alright... Are you still sure you want to do this?" Mipha asks and Link nods assuringly. "I am sure, Mipha, don't worry" Zelda says softly. Not so soon after Sidon sat down next to Mipha, the young Zora's eyes sparkling with curiousity. "What are we doing?" He asks curiously, looking up at his older sister. "It's a-... Uh... Sort of ceremony, if you can call it that it's-... Hard to explain, really" Mipha said, being unsure of how to explain without frightening her brother.  "Sidon, give me your hand" She spoke softly, and without a second doubt he reached out his small hand to her, or well it was small in comparasion to Mipha's but it was perfect for the small zora's body. 

"Alright.. Be brave now, okay?" Mipha said with a soft smile "Show me the strong prince you are!". Sidon smiled brightly "I will! I will!" He said happily, his eyes sparkling with excitement. Mipha picked up the sharp rock in her other hand, and quickly slashed it over Sidon's bare hand. Sidon gave out a surprised squeak, seeing the blue blood ooze from the gash in his hand. "There, hold your hand completely still" She said before she looked at Link for permission before she grabbed his hand. Link looked at his own hand as Mipha did the same fast movement, and he clenched his teeth as the sting went through his hand. "There, Sidon take his hand" Mipha said and Sidon reached out to lay his own hands over Link's. Their gashs met as they held hands, Link looked up at Sidon who was looking down at their hands in wonder. "Alright, Zelda you up for it?" Mipha said softly, her voice slowly fading away and as Link's sight got blurrier. 

(Aaand now flashback time's over)

Link opened his eyes suddenly, inhaling sharply as he looks around himself. "We..." He chokes out as he meets Zelda's eyes, he looks down at his eyes and just as he excpeced he could see the old scar in his palm. Zelda smiles warmly at him as she moves closer to him. "So.. You do remember" She says happily. "All those good times up here..." Zelda looked away from Link, facing the sunset and sighing deeply. Link looks back up at Zelda again, taking notice of her troubled expression quickly. "What's weighing you down, Zelda..?" Link asks softly, his ears drooping in concern and worry for his close friend. 

"Link... I-... I am sorry... I know that through this way of ruling I hurt alot of people a-and other species... But if I care too much my people will die and if I care too little other species sees me as terrible I-.. I don't know what to do.." Zelda sobs out, her eyes slowly filling up with tears. "I-... I've been forced to see the others as monsters to... To not feel empathy but-... Seeing Mipha's face.. Those eyes just filled to the brim with such a deep betrayal I-... I don't think I'll ever be able to foget it.. Her blood i on my hands... My friend's blood is on my hands-...!" She chokes out as she slightly scrunches up where she's sitting. Link leans in towards her, pulling the devastated princess into a soft hug. "Zelda... Calm down now.. I know you're doing your best.. There's hard times now.." Link soothes her softly as he pets her back. 

"You're doing all you can.. And that's more than enough for me.." Link says softly. Zelda looks up at him with a still tear-stained face. 

She smiles faintly, leaning closer and connecting her lips to Link's.
