~'Chapter 10'~

The pulsating pain from Link's wound was near unbearable. he drags up his bloody pant-leg to get a better look at it, and to his fright it's way deeper than what he thought as first. It looks like a beginning of an infection and Link figured that the stone he hit must've been full of bacteria. It's deep and still bleeding, despite Sidon walking with him for almost ten minutes. "That looks nasty" Sidon comments "We better find shelter soon.". Link holds onto Sidon's shoulders and shivers lightly from the cold as he nods. Sidon looks around for anything that'll work for shelter for the moment, but he spots nothing as the whirling snow impairs his view. Suddenly he notices a sudden change in the cluster of trees. He fastens his pace to get a better look and starts running through the snow when he sees the silhouette of a house. 

Once he gets close enough Link can see that no lights are on inside and the house itself is abandoned, but it's better than nothing after all. The first thing Sidon does once they open the door is to lay Link on the couch in the center of the room and go off to light a fire in the fireplace. Link groans in pain as he drags himself up to a sitting position and yet again looks at his wound. It still haven't stopped bleeding and he can feel himself getting dizzy. Sidon finally manages to start the fire and sits down on the sofa by Link's feet. "Alright uhm.. I've never done this before sooo... Tell me if you feel any difference I guess?" He chuckles nervously as he inches closer. He unsurely lays his hands on Link's open wound and even with his teeth clenched tightly together Link can't help the small grunt of pain slipping out. Sidon looks puzzled for a moment, as if trying to figure out what to do. It doesn't take long before an intense blue glow emerges from under Sidon's palm. Link looks at the glow in fascination, almost falling into a trance as something awakens in the back of his lost memories. Mipha. Mipha have done this to him countless times, haven't she? Yes, Link remembers it as clear as day now. Link gets lost in thought thinking about wht other memories he might miss and almost kicks Sidon when the fire makes a loud cracking noise that snaps him out of his dreamish state. "Whoa! Easy, I just managed to get the infection away" Sidon chuckles and Link murmurs out a low "Sorry..". 

Link directs his eyes towards his glowing knee, but his gaze slowly trails up Sidon's arm and ends up at his face. Has his eyes always been this golden? It almost looks like they're sparkling. Link sees how his blind eye have started to look more like a lighter version of it's past self more than a bloody mess, and Link finds it almost hard to resist to not lay his hand on Sidon's scarred arm. How long it has passed when Sidon moves away his hands Link has no clue of, but all he knows is that he still can't get his eyes away from Sidon's yellow ones. Sidon drags down Link's pant-leg and looks up at him, his pupils dialating as he looks confused at him. "..Hey.." Sidon says quietly after the two just looking at eachother in silence. "...Hey." Link replies after a long pause, he can feel his cheeks heaten up. If it's from the rising temperature inside the house and him still being in his winter gear or if it's something else he's unsure, but he comes to the conclusion that the first's probably the answer as he drags off his winted jacket that Zelda had given him. 

 like as if it's a grown-in reflex Sidon lays his arm around Link like he's protecting him from dangers. Link giggles softly at this and looks up at him "You know I'm the hero of Hyrule, right? I don't need protecting.." He chuckles jokingly. "Says the guy who literally almost broke his knee on a rock." Sidon teases back at him. It's by now that Link notices how close the two actually are, only  a little over an inch between them.  A sudden urge sparks through him, it's like his heart is tugging him forward. 

Before he can react he moves the last inch.
