The Spider-Man Chronicles (Part 1)

Chapter 22

30 ~~EXT. A NEW YORK STREET-MORNING~~ 30

An apartment building is on fire.

Fire trucks surround it.

A woman begins screaming that her baby is still in there.

Suddenly, Spider-Man comes swinging from the distance towards the burning building with Lizard-Girl holding onto him.

He swings into the burning building.

31 ~~INT. BURNING APARTMENT BUILDING~~ 31

Y/n lets go of Peter and they both rush around trying to find the baby.

Y/n spots it through the flames.

Y/N
It's over here!

They both rush over to it and y/n grabs it.

They rush back over to the window and y/n grabs Peter.

He swings out of the building just as it explodes into more flames.

32 ~~EXT. A NEW YORK STREET~~ 32

Peter lands down to the ground.

Y/n lets go of him and hands the baby to the woman.

Y/N
It's okay. Your baby's fine.

WOMAN
Oh, my baby. God bless you, Spider-Man and Lizard-Girl. Bless you.

A cop then runs up.

COP
Don't let them get away! Hold it right there. You're under arrest. I'm taking the both of you in.

A feminine scream suddenly occurs.

WOMAN #2
Oh, my God! There's somebody still up there.

The scream happens again as the cop, Spider-Man, and Lizard-Girl all look up in the direction it's coming from.

PETER & Y/N
I'm going.

They both say the same thing at the same time.

They look at each other then back at the cop.

The cop hesitates and keeps glancing between them and the burning building.

COP
I'll be here when you get back.

PETER
We're not coming back, Chief.

Y/n nods her head in agreement.

COP
Go! Go!

Lizard-Girl grabs a hold of Spider-Man as he shoots a web and swings upwards.

He reaches the top of the burning building and shoots another web to go inside a window.

He crashes through one.

33 ~~INT. BURNING BUILDING~~ 33

Y/n jumps off of Peter right as he hits the ground in a spider stance.

PETER
Where are you?

Peter slowly stands up as he and y/n both look through the flames for the woman.

The piece of roof y/n is standing under begins collapsing.

She jumps out of the way as a woman screams.

PETER
Where are you?!

The woman begins crying.

Y/n spots her a few feet away.

Y/N
She's over there!

The woman is turned around.

PETER
We're gonna get you out of here!

Y/N
Yeah, so don't panic!

Pieces of wood from the building collapses in front of Peter, leaving him an open space to walk through.

He begins walking forward towards the woman with y/n following him.

The woman is still crying.

PETER
It's okay!

Y/N
Everything is going to be alright!

Peter continues walking forward with y/n still following him.

He reaches out his hand towards the woman who is still turned around.

Peter touches the woman's shoulder and she turns around with a scream to reveal she is actually the Green Goblin.

The Green Goblin punches Peter and he goes flying backwards, knocking y/n over in the process.

Peter goes through multiple sections of the building, including a door, and lands hard on the ground.

The Green Goblin has been wearing a shawl as part of his disguise, but is now taking it off.

GREEN GOBLIN
You're both pathetically predictable. Like a moth to the flame.

Peter and y/n have both stood back up, wearily.

GREEN GOBLIN
What about my generous proposal? Are you in or are you out?

PETER
It's you who's out, Gobbie. Out of your mind.

Y/N
Yeah! We would rather die than team up with you!

GREEN GOBLIN
Wrong answer!

The Green Goblin then throws a bomb towards y/n and Peter.

PETER
Oh, great.

The bomb splits into sharp, spinning, flying metal pieces that are flying towards y/n and Peter.

Y/n gets wide eyed as two come flying towards her.

She quickly jumps to the ground and they pass her by.

She gets up as three more of the metal pieces fly towards her.

She times the pieces of metal to when the centerpiece of it is exposed.

She then punches one with her left hand and another with her right hand.

She then does a spinning wheel kick on the last one.

Meanwhile, Peter has successfully dodged the first two pieces of flying metal.

The Green Goblin then punches y/n and she falls to the ground.

He then punches Peter.

The flying metal pieces come flying back towards Peter and the Green Goblin and they both dodge them.

Y/n sees them headed towards her and rolls out of the way.

She then stands up and watches the Green Goblin fight Peter.

The Green Goblin kicks Peter and goes to punch him again, but Peter grabs his arm.

Then, Peter punches the Green Goblin.

The flying metal pieces fly back towards Peter and he punches two of them, with the third one slicing his arm.

It then heads towards y/n where she tries to dodge it with wide eyes.

She dodges it, but it slices her in the shoulder.

She grimaces and clutches her arm.

The metal flying piece heads toward Peter again and he dodges it by bending backwards.

He stands up straight again as the Green Goblin runs up to Peter, trying to punch him.

Peter ends up punching him; however, and the Green Goblin flies backwards.

Peter shoots a web and it attaches to the Green Goblin, pulling him back to Peter.

Peter then kicks the Green Goblin and he flies backwards once again, but this time through wood from the building.

More pieces of the building begin collapsing as the building erupts into more flames.

Y/n looks around, wide eyed, and runs over to Peter.

She puts her arms around him as he flies out of the building.
