(Y/N)'s POV
Loud pants escaped my lips as we continued walking to the mountain. I can't even handle stairs let alone a mountain with high altitude, I don't even know how I managed to even breathe.
"You good?" My dear good friend, Lumine questioned. I gave her a small smile and thumbs up, can't talk, saving oxygen right now.
"She's not okay." Paimon whispered, "Yeah, she's not." Lumine agreed.
I glared at the both of them, "Thanks, I understand both of you." I grumbled, both idiots just gave out a cheeky smile.
We all continued walking at a normal pace, we've actually been climbing for nearly half an hour, it shouldn't be that far but me having a weak energy just have to take constant breaks, it's concerning how I actually have frail body.
I've been walking without them for many days or possibly months but it has never been a tiring moment.
"Let's take a break." Lumine stopped and turned around, giving me a look of concern.
I casually waved it off, "Y'know, I've already walked miles already before I met you two, right?"
"Yeah but have you climbed a mountain?"
"Uhm.."
"Well, no, I don't see the need to do that." I excused while continuing to walk up, completely silencing their calls.
I stopped when I arrived on a wide area, it looks wide unlike the tight space we've been climbing.
"Hey, are we–?"
"And who might we be? Those dared set foot on the sacred land of an adepti?"
A booming voice behind me caught me off guard which made me jump infront of me then turning around to face a deer shaped being, not really a deer since it has a weird head shape and beautiful set of colors.
"(Y/N)!" A call, I turned around and saw Lumine and Paimon rushing towards me with panicked looks on their faces.
They stopped beside me, facing the creature infront with a calm expression on their faces, well, Lumine at least, can't say the same for Paimon.
